introduction

"You okay hun?" mum asked for the hundred time.
"Yes mum I'm okay" I say laughing while fixing the heavy box in my hands. She smiles and I feel her hands cup my cheeks and kiss them. "Oh Ellie I'm gonna miss you so much" she gushes and I see her eyes look glowy and glossy like if she was about to cry.

Oh no. If she's going to cry I'll cry too

She sniffs and frowns with her head hung low. I instantly hear my dad clearing his throat, making a gesture for me to go to him. I place the box on the kitchen counter and walk towards him. He obviously wants a hug. He instantly sniffs and opens his arms, ready for a hug.

He later hugs me patting my back,making me chuckle at his actions remembering the day I told him I hated when he did that.
"Mum come" I say bitting my lip knowing that I would soon cry. Please don't cry

Mum quickly comes and the three of us hug at what seemed like 6 minutes. Which is long enough for me. But I really needed this hug right now. After a while dad said "My baby is all grown up now" and smiled kissing my forehead.

"Ellie are you sure you dont want us to stay when your roommate comes?" mum asked "Nah mum I'm alright" she sat in the car and dad quickly hit the ignition. I waved at mum and dad as they left me in my apartment. Alone and kind of sad. Sniffing and wiping some tears off of my cheeks I felt my phone vibrate and I quickly slipped it out of my pocket.

mum: good luck at uni :)

I smiled quickly sending her some heart emojis. I recieved a new message from excepting to be my mum but I see its my roommate.

chloe: on my way... Can't wait to meet you!!! :)

I replied and locked my phone placing it again in the unconfortable pocket of my jeans. I remembered I have tears in my cheeks and wiped them away quickly.

I looked in front of me at the apartments right across from my street instantly seeing something cathing my full attention. 3 boys walk into an apartment.
