I decided I needed some time away from this craziness, so I called Alice to see if she wanted to go to dinner. She said yes, an we decided on olive garden. I got out of the house, twirling my car keys. I got in my minivan and started it up. I drove out of the driveway, and headed over to Alice's house. When I got there, she was in her yard, waiting.
When she saw me, she smiled and walked toward the car. She opened the door and sat down. She kissed me on the cheek and asked, "why are we going out tonight?"
I smiled and said, "do I need a reason to take my girlfriend out?"
"I guess that makes sense," she said smiling.
I started the car, and drove to Olive Garden. We got a table, right next to the window. I looked out the window, but saw nothing, so I started texting Eddie. But then I felt a rush of wind, and looked out the window. The same cat was standing outside, but without evidence of the cut it received.
I was going to ignore it, but I heard a voice in my head. Come outside. We must talk. I looked outside, and the cat was waving his paw, gesturing for me to come. I glanced at Alice, but she didn't seem to see the cat. Worried she would think I was crazy, I didn't tell her. Not taking my eyes of the cat, I said,"I'm going to the bathroom."
"Okay," Alice said.
I got up, and as soon as out of sight, I bolted to the door. The cat was sitting right in front of me, looking at me with cold blue eyes. Then I heard the voice again. Go to your car. We shall talk there.
The cat hurried to my car, and I chased it. I didn't know how, but I knew the the voice was from the cat. I was confused, but my instinct pulled me forward. I opened my car, and the cat leaped in, followed by me.
Whence in the car, I closed and locked the doors. Then, right before my eyes, the cat melted into black dust. Then not a second after, the dust gathered and turned into a human. She had long brown hair, crystal blue eyes, and was wearing a black leather jacket and torn jeans. She had a blue streak in her hair, and combat boots.
She looked at me for what felt like forever, until she spoke. "Hello, I am Corlise."
"You, you, j-j-just melted and became a human, " I stuttered.
"Ya, I know kid, just tell your dad, kispare." she said.
Then she melted into dust and reformed as a cat.
Kispare, the voice said. Then the cat bounded away. I didn't know why, but my gut told me to listen to "Corlise". I figured there were to things that could happen. Dad would think I was crazy, or somehow this would all make sense. I know you'll think I'm acting strangely, but all this crazy stuff is starting to intertwine with reality.
