Chapter 2: Taco night failed

The sun was setting and it was already 6:02pm. I grabbed my purse and sweater, then walked out of the store. This was always the happiess moment of my life, going home!

"Wait for meeeee!" Nikki dashed up behind me like some olympic runner.

"You took your time?" I questioned.

"Sorry, Brea was giving me some heads-up task I need to do for tonight."

"Heads-up task?" I looked at Nikki confused.

"Yeah, well its actually small task on how to get a guy to like you and stuff." Nikki said blushing abit.

"Ew, romancy stuff." I replied.

"(Y/n) I think you need a guy in your life too! Its been so long! I mean I've actually never seen you date a guy yet!" Nikki looked at me scared.

"Hey, whats that look for?!" I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, nothing~. Anyway, are you gonna cook or are we ordering pizza again? Cause I think I'm in the mood for some Spainish or Italian food, speaking that your family is all mixed-cultured!" Nikki pouted.

I sighed, "Guess I could whip us up some tacos if you want?"

"Horray! Yay!" Nikki jumped in glee.

"Sometimes I wonder if you even your age." I giggled.

We were out at the parking lot, I was searching for Nikki's black mustang. Nikki kept on clicking on the button on her car keys to locate her car.

*Beep-Beep*

We kept hearing it go, we were getting closer and closer, until I saw it behind a large truck.

"Score! Your driving this time!" I shouted at Nikki running to the front passenger seat. Just before I could get to the car, I accidently bumped into someone. The impacted made me fall instead.

"Jesus! Ouch!" I rubbed my face.

"Oh, crap! I'm sorry miss~."
I looked up and saw a hand in front of my face. I grabbed it and the person pulled me up.

"Its okay, mister." I finally got a good look of this guy. He was taller than me, His was a strange purple color along with his purple uniform he had on. His watch, shoes and even ring was purple! Except for his brown-tanned body. His eyes were a nice silver color. He stared at me, as I did the same to him except, it felt like he was watching into my soul or something.

"(Y/n)! You okay?!" Nikki caught up looking worried.

I couldn't stop help but stare at the mysterious man, but then I looked over at Nikki, who was giving me that 'OMG' face. I understood what her face was really meaning and then I began to blush slightly. I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her towards the car.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you mister!" I shouted back at the man. He didn't reply, instead he made a wide smirk at me and then waved.

I jumped into car and turned to see Nikki giving me the goo-goo eyed face.

"Stop!" I weakly punched her in the arm.

"Somebody's in lo-" Nikki was cut off by my hand slapping onto her face.

"Just drive dork!" I looked at the window blushing.

(10 min later)
We finally reached home and when I meant we, I meant me and Nikki. Nikki was actually 'my' roomate! Since I had the extra cash from college, I decided to buy my own place. Oh yeah its a two story house by the way!

I opened the front door, walking inside was this little white kitten Nikki had found last week at the park, stranded. Nikki decided to name her Nekota. Since it reminded her of this anime she liked to watch. Yeah, I said anime, did I also forget to mention she was a closet otaku?

Anyway, I threw my purse onto the couch and then plopped myself on it.
"Agggh! I'm so pooped! Today was too long!" I groaned.

"True, hey what about the tacos?" Nikki asked me.

"Oh yeah, go wash up, I'll start cracking!"

Nikki nodded and walked upstairs to her bedroom.

I sighed, as I took out every ingrediant I needed to make ths tacos.

(1 hour later)
The taco shells were hard and there were separate bowls with beef, chopped lettuce and carrots and lastly speggetti.

"Nikki! Get down here or else I'll eat your taco!" I yelled.

"I'm coming! Leave my tacos alone!" She shouted back.

I then heard Nikki's cellphone began to ring off. Her ringtone was that song from 'Get Scared- Don't you dare forget the sun'. To be honest it was loud as fuck!

She then answered it. I couldn't hear one word of what she was saying, so I ignored her and took a bite out of my taco. It was delicious, its a good thing I took those cooking classes and the best part was that the classes were free. Well for the college course.

I took a plate full of tacos and walked over to the couch. I sat and turn on the t.v. My favortie show, (favorite show) came on at the right timing.
I sat enjoying the show, that was until I heard Nikki scream. I coughed up some of my tacos. And rested the plate on my silver coffee table.

Quickly running up the stairs, I ran straight down the hall and turned into Nikki's turquiose room.

"Hey! You okay Nikki?!" I saw her hugging her pillow tightly.

"(Y/n)....." Nikki whispered.

"Yeah, whats wrong? You okay?" I sat down beside her on her bed.

It was quiet between us, until Nikki spoke up.

"I'm going on a date..."

"Huh?! A date?"

Nikki nodded. Then jumped up screaming. She pulled me up and continued jumping.

"YEP! I'M GOING ON A DATE!" Nikki shouted for the whole neighborhood to hear her.

"Shhh! Keep it down! Now explain." I sat back down and waited for a response.

"Well, remember that butler guy from work we saw today with Ms. Mahogany?" Nikki questioned.

I nodded, "Yeah?"

"Well, he just called me and asked me out on a date!" Nikki jumped and squealed again.

This was alittle weird, I mean come on? A guy calling you just to go on a date? Something wasn't quite right.
"So when's this date?"

"Tomorrow after work! So I'll be up here picking out my dress, shoes, etc. Oh (y/n) can you bring my tacos up here? Please?" Nikki said.

I didn't say anything, well if my bestie was happy then I'm happy! I walked to grabbed the plate of tacos and brung it back to Nikki. She was too busy to even notice me resting her tacos on the counter.

I sighed and walked back to the couch, continuing to chow down on my food.
