Daniel took a deep breath and sighed before plugging his earbuds into his phone and putting one in his ear, turning on his favorite band, Five Finger Death Punch. He looked up and read the sign standing in front of him.
"O'Connor High School, Home of the Leprechauns".
His hell away from home for the next 2 years. Or at least as long as he didn't get kicked out of this school too.
Daniel walked into the front office and up to the desk. The woman behind the desk looked up at Daniel before forcing a tired smile at him.
"You must be Daniel. I'm Ms. Harper. Just give me a second, I'll be right back with your class schedule."
Ms. Harper walked into a back room, and Daniel sat down in one of the chairs by the desk, and started singing quietly along with the song that was playing. After a few minutes, she came back with a piece of paper in her hand and Daniel paused his music.
"So your first class is Algebra 2 with Mr. _________. (A/N: Don't have a name for the teacher yet.) I'll walk with you so you don't get lost."
Daniel stood up, mumbling a quiet "thanks" and flashing a quick smile at Ms. Harper.
Daniel walked out of the office, following Ms. Harper, and turned down one of the hallways. They walked for a few minutes in awkward silence until they reached Daniel's classroom, and then Ms. Harper opened the door for him, giving the teacher a nod to let him know Daniel was a new student.
