The lady's wishes

The truth

As the the light comes into view through the window, a woman woke with a suddenly. She felt uneasy something was wrong because it was warm in Millewood in October when it was normally freezing cold. She took in a deep breath and opened her hand. A purple light came from it and she was instantly dressed in her dark robes. She made her bed with the magic and cooked breakfast the same way. She then went and looked into the mirror and changed her faces to be less dark and more naturel. "I can do, this my powers will stay hidden and I will never reveal the Ladies." she said to herself "I am Lady Helena, of the order of the Ladies of Darkness."
She got up and ready to go to the market like anyone and everyone. As she was looking at some punkins imported from America and a man came up beside her.
"Aren't they lovely." he said "The color especially."
"Yes, the are..."she and as they looked into his eye she say something."Do I know you ?"
"We have crossed paths, once or twice." he said with a small chuckle.
With a gasp "Your him, the thorn in my order side. Your..."
"Yes, Lady Helena." He said with a air of disapproval "I'm Lord Hall. It's been a while."
She Gasped and everything went black.

Helena woke to the bars on her cell door opening. She saw a hooded figure dressed in white and gold armor. A gold aura surrounded the figure. It didn't talk her long to figure out that it was Hall. Helena bolted up and start say a curse. Hall put his hand up in protest.
"Your spells won't work here.You know that." Hall said with a small smile "Those shackles on your hand stop any magical power." Helena looked at her hands, she hadden noticed the shackles and now they started to heat up.
"If you had these the whole time, why not use them all the time." Helena asked with a dead seriousness " It would have helped in the last war."
"It talks much power to create them. The lord who created them has fallen asleep. It took so much power so that you could not escape your bonds." he said to her almost like it was her fault.
Helena was intrigued by this power, if she could learn this it would be instrumental in the defeat of the Lords of Light. "Why don't you tell me how you make them." She asked with a small sweet smile.
"Why would I do that?"Hall responded playfully and then turned around and left the cell. He then stopped when the door was closed. "You will stay here until your trial on charges against the Lords of Light." Then he left Helena alone in her cell.
Helena lied down on her bed which other the a table and toilet was the only other furniture in the room which was all white during the day and dark at night with no window. She was about fall asleep when she heard a voice.
"Are you Lady Helena?" the small voice asked.
" Yes, and might I ask are who are you?" Helena responded with cold voice.
" I'm Lady Mary" she responded with a cry of joy.
" I can't believe you let yourself get caught."Helena said "I told you do not use your magic. Your so new with your powers.You attract so many Lords. You are like a flame which the moths are drawn to but they only one who gets burned is you. I knew you should had your magic bounded."
"You have always bugged me about my powers and that I can control them like you, since I was a little girl. You think that since you were older and better educate in the dark arts. Well I have more power than you do." she yelled at Helena. Mary then came into view she was covered in purple aura and then suddenly she fell down in agony, her eyes flared and turned red with pain. A cry left her lips so loud that the lantern in her cell broke.
"Mary!Mary!What's wrong! What's happening to you!"Helena cried out "My dear sister are you alright."
"I'm fine,I'm fine. You haven't called me that since you took your vows and left mother's house. I was only twelve."Mary said softly.
"Yes,yes." Helena responded "What caused that."
"The shackles."Mary lifted up her hands to show shackles that looked liked Helena's but they glowed a strong white aura. "They made them so strong that even if I think about a spell or curse, I am punished with a pain so agonising so strong most of the time I passed out or break a lantern."
"Well maybe, you could try and break if you could concentrate."Helena suggested.
"No, I tried that."Mary responded disappointedly.
"Well, I could help you. Well maybe not to break the but we could weaken them enough so that we could cause a strong enough cures to break the cell door." Helena said.
"Okay. I'll try." Mary responded
Helena and Mary started to weaken the bonds. It took hours of long and painful spells and curses being spoken. Mary and Helena passed out twice do to the extreme pain which they both endured. Finally the aura around the bonds was non existent and Mary no longer felt any pain went she did spells, they were know just shackles. Helena knew that Mary needed rest so she told Mary to go to bed and that they escape tomorrow. As the sun came up even though they couldn't see it they knew it was time to leave and go the order headquarters to tell th of them of the threat that the Lord of Light posses.
"Ready to go home, Mary."Helena asked in the moring.
"Definitely."Mary responded.
They said a destruction curses a caused hole in the wall so big that half of a house could fit in it. They jumped out of the hole in the wall and started to run out side of the fortress which wasn't very big, it looked like any old farm house. As they run all of the Lords can out to try and stop them. Mary didn't know what to do and as soon as Helena saw the she created a firewall to stop their advance. They soon had were far enough away to create a portal to the fortress of the Ladies.

As they exited the portal, Helena took in the fortress. She hadn't seen the fortress in 2 years after she went to live in Millewood. Unlike the Lords, the Ladies fortress was a huge castle that was made out grey and black stone. There was a tower in the middle that the head of the Ladies lives in. As Mary and Helena walked up to the fortress, Helena started to remember why she had left the fortress to live elsewhere,..
"We should and tell Lady Vanna about the Lords and go and make sure they didn't put a tracking spell on us." Mary suggested "I'll notify the Lady of the chamber. She will have a spare room prepared for you. Do you need any help getting around."
"You forget, that I lived here for many years and that I already have my own room."Helena, you still should the the Lady of the chamber that you are here and Lady Vanna to tell her that you have returned to the Ladies." Mary told Helena.
"Mary, you know that me and Vanna don't get along."
"Well then just go to our room, I'll tell Lady Vanna that you are here. You might be summoned to the war room to discuss the problem at hand." Mary said "And Helena, don't get under Lady Vanna's skin."
Helena left and went up to her room. As she passed the great hall that was colored in black and white walls and curtains, she saw along the way saw many ladies that had been close to her but she did not cry out or call to them, all she was anger. Anger that she had been abandoned by them when she had been injured beyond healing, but at last they had actually helped her when she had been hurt from the last war her powers and knowledge had expand and after she could walk without passing out she had left the fortress and started a life in Millewood.
As she went up to her room she saw many portraits of some of the most famous Ladies. As she drew closer and closer to the end of the hall, she saw the most famous one of all. It was of her when she sacrificed herself to close the Lord's portals to win the the war. She had been so badly injured that it took her a year to at least be able to stand up. The whole time Vanna had been making it seem that it was her idea and that she should rule the Ladies in the end she was chosen and as soon as Helena could leave she did.
As she entered her old room it was just as she had left it. Her large bed was clean and fitted with her black sheets and a white confiture which was covered in black lace. On her desk was a letter to her sister that she had never sent. When she went into her closet it had the same colors as everything else. She had three of the same dress and one formal dress and her costume that she always wore on October 31. She picked picture that was of her and her sisters. It was of the last costume part before the last war. Mary was dressed as a dark angel, and she was beautiful. As the plainest sister Mary always when over top on The 31 of October. Then there was Helena and she was dressed as Witch. And then there was Helena's twin sister Venus. Venus was very pretty and she was dressed in a long black tight fitting gown which was very controversial.
Helena knew that Venus was here and somewhere close right now. Venus was very controlling and powerful. Even though they were twins they didn't get along with one another. Helena was starting at the picture the whole time and only stopped when a knock on the door and Helena dropped the picture on the ground. She went to the door and half expected Venus to be standing there. As she opened the door she saw a guard who had note for her.
"You have been summoned by her Lady Vanna." The guard said in a neutral tone.
"I'll be right there." Helena responded.
Helena followed the guard to the war room and saw a figure in the formal attire of the head Lady. She changed into her favorite outfit which was a small ball gown. As she walked up to the figure, Mary appeared next to her.
"My Lady she is here." Mary said to the figure
"Helena, It's been along time."Vanna said "You have come back since you left."
"Well Venus, I mean Vanna . After you took what was mine it was pointless. I became more powerful than you could imagine." Helena responded coldly.
"Do not call me Venus" Vanna responded coldly "You said that you had found out something, what."
"The lords have a way to bind our powers and they will want bind all of ours." Helena told Vanna reluctantly.
"We must fight."Vanna told Mary "Gather all of the Ladies, tell them we must fight."
"I will come to, you will need me."Helena told Vanna .
"Fine, but don't get in the way."Vanna told
All of the Ladies came to the great hall which they created a portal that would take them to the Lord's stronghold. When they went thru the portal they didn't end up in the field like they were supposed to, they ended up in Millewood.
"Ladies of darkness, your reign of terror is now over . Submit or die." the voice of Lord Hall boomed.
"Never." Vanna yelled back "Attack."
The battle was short and quick. A flash of light started the battle and Lord hall's aura was glowing so strong that he was his own star. Vanna started to say a cures but was immediately interrupted by Hall's own spell. Vanna collapsed and Mary ran to protect her. Helena was almost killed by an incoming fireball and then she went and ran to Vanna.
"Venus, are you alright." Helena said in her ear.
"Helena, listen. I'm sorry for what I did to you. I'm dying and I want to make thing right. You are to lead the Ladies. When I die Take my powers and became the most powerful person in the world. That is my Lady wish." Vanna said softly "Helena, I love. Tell Mary too." And with her last breath , The Light from Mary's eye isapierend. Helena held her body and wept. Mary ran to her and looked her in the eyes and started to cry. Helena stood up and wiped the tears from her eyes and started to say a curse and the Venuse body disappeared and Helena state to glow and then she had so much power that all the lord in a close to her were vaporised.
'You killed my sister, my twin." Helena scemend and as she was created in power "You will pay."
She unleashed a curse that killed every Lord but Lord Hall. He was brought up to Helena.
"Lord Hall O. Ween you are charged with killing Lady Vanna.An you are to be exicuted." Helena Decrease.
"That is not a fair trial."Hall responded.
"It doesn't matter."
And with one swift blow Lord Hall was dead. Helena took his body to a cemetery near them and he was buried. Helena called all the Ladies together and and made her first official speech.
"Ladies of darkness, as many of you know that Lady Vanna is dead. As her lady wish she made me her successor and she used her lady wish to do so. In keeping with tradition I will take a new name. You may now call me Lady Victoria after are grand victory over the Lords of light. As my first official proclamation I decree that all Ladies are to go in hiding and are to only use their magic on today's date. To remember the date we can come out of hiding it will forever be know as Halloween after Lord Hall. On October 31 you are allowed to dress up and scare the little children." Helena told her followers.
And with that the Ladies were only ever seen on Halloween.
