Maggie
"Mom,I'm going for a walk!" I yelled. I left before she even got to tell me anything. Yeah, that may be rude, but I needed to clear my mind. I started walking to no where in particular. So many things were going through my mind. I just needed to find somewhere to be myself and somewhere where nobody could find me. I kept on walking until I saw a rundown park.
"Looks like nobody has been here in ages." I said to myself. There was broken glass on the floor, old cigarette butts. The slides were dirty, the swings were broken, and the benches were all graffitied on. I walked through the park exploring more of it. I saw a bridge and wondered where it led to. While I was crossing the bridge, I noticed there was a pond underneath. The pond was beautiful. The fish looked so calm. So relaxed. I thought to myself why couldn't I be that calm.
Once I finished crossing the bridge I saw a tree with a bench underneath and a swing hanging from it. Once I reached the bench, I sat and just started crying. There was really no
particular reason for me to be crying except for the fact that I was just a big screw up. All these thoughts from today came flooding back into my head. I'm just a big screw up.
Earlier At School...
I walked with my head held down, hoping nobody would see me. I had no friends. I was kind of an outcast as you could say . I was just a high school girl. 11th grade to be exact. I started walking to my locker without really paying attention. I suddenly felt a thud, causing me to fall on to the floor. "Watch where your going next time loser!" I heard as I was on the ground. I rolled my eyes as I quickly picked up my books. Suddenly the bell rang signaling I had no time to go to my locker. As I walked to class, I heard little whispers from people. "Have you seen her before?" "She looks like a piece of trash." "I think she's lost." That's just some of the comments they would say. Some of them hurt, but I tried not to let them get too me. As I walked into class, I made sure to get the seat in the far back in the corner that way no one could see me. As students started approaching into the classroom, I tried to make myself unnoticeable. I kept my head down the whole class period. Once I heard the bell, i quickly grabbed my books trying to hurry and get out of that class. Of coarse I had to go and bump into someone. The first thing I heard was, "Can you watch out, god your such a screw up!" I quickly picked my things up, while shedding a tear. He was right I was a screw up. That's how it went all day getting called names and getting called a screw up. And they were right that's all I was.
