Prologue

"Indi honey, you really need to eat something" Diana (Indi's Mom) pushed as she offered her a plate of toast.

Indi reluctantly bit into the toast, it felt like she was swallowing nails. She pushed the plate away and sipped some tea "I can't Mom, I'm not hungry"

"You haven't eaten for days now" Her Mom replied, it was obvious from her tone that she was concerned.

"I'll be fine Mom, Doctor Wilson said eat little and often" Indi rolled her eyes "He said not to overload my body"

"Little and often means alot more than a mouthful of toast every now and again" Indi's Mom continued to nag her daughter "What would Liam say? Huh if he knew you were neglecting yourself like this?"

Indi thought for a moment, her heart sank "He's not here is he, so he wouldn't have an opinion"

"Indi please, I'm worried about you"...

This was the last time Indi had spoken to her Mom properly. After this conversation she decided she needed some time away from everyone and everything.

Indi moved to Los Angeles and took a job as a primary school music teacher at her local school.

It had been almost 2 years since she left her hometown of Ohio, things seemed much easier for Indi while she wasn't surrounded by similar things.

It was a Friday night and Indi had agreed to go to a charity event with her friend Shannon, Shannon was the office manager at the school where Indi worked "So what bands are there tonight?" Indi asked a she walked beside Shannon. Both of them were wearing ball gowns seeing as the event was a charity ball.

Indi didn't see herself as anything special, but the glances she was getting was enough to tell her otherwise. Shannon spoke to the doorman and Indi watched and smiled as he stood aside "Enjoy your evening ladies"

"Thank you" Indi followed Shannon inside "Oh my gosh this is incredible" she gasped as she looked around. Before the girls took another step they were surprised to be greeted by a waiter carrying a tray of champagne. Shannon took two glasses, one for herself and one for Indi.

"There are so many celebrities involved in this project, someone is bound to notice you" Shannon smiled.

"I don't want to be noticed" Indi frowned "I just want to blend in with everyone else"

Shannon rolled her eyes and picked up a programme off the side, it was a glossy paper booklet of all the acts and events that were happening that evening and in what order "Here, the acts list is on the back" Indi scanned the list and picked out all the acts she liked.

"Hello there" A voice spoke behind them, Indi turned and saw a middle aged man in a grey fitted standing behind them "I'm Brian Holden"

"Hi Brian, I'm Shannon and this is my friend India" Shannon nudged Indi after introducing them.

"India?" Brian repeated "That's a beautiful name, a beautiful name for..."

"Oh there you are Brian" An elegant woman approached them "I have been looking for you everywhere...who are these beautiful young ladies?"

"Oh this is Shannon and India" Brian gave the worm on a hook impression as he squirmed.

"India, wow that's unusual" the woman smiled "I'm Elizabeth, Brian's wife" Indi and Shannon threw eachother as smug glance as Elizabeth introduced herself.

"It's lovely to meet you" Shannon was trying hard not to show her amusement "Hey Indi we should get to our seats, the bands will be playing soon"

"Oh my god can you believe the cheek of that guy" Indi laughed as the women found their seats. They were seated on a table with 6 other people.

Indi looked at the names on the place cards and was a little surprised "Oh my god Shannon check out the name cards" Shannon read them and looked excited "Out of all the people we are sat with, we end up sitting with..oh god" Indi could hardly contain her excitement at the realisation of what this meant.

'Brent Kutzle, Drew Brown, Eddie Fisher, Zach Filkins, Brian Willett and Ryan Tedder'

Indi was more that satisfied to find herself sandwiched between Ryan Tedder and Brent Kutzle. She felt her stomach fluttering as they waited for the guys to join them at their table.

It wasn't long before Shannon and Indi spotted their faces heading towards them "Oh my god, oh my god" Indi repeated as they got closer.

"Oh hello, looks like we're sharing" Zach smiled as he looked for his name "Hi I'm Zach"

"Yeah I know" Shannon blurted out and Indi just looked at the table and smirked. As she looked up she noticed she had captured someone's gaze "...This is Indi" Shannon's voice echoed and broke Indi's daydream.

"Hi I'm Ryan" The guy who had been staring at her finally spoke "And it looks like I'm sat next to you, that's if you don't mind"

"No course not" Indi moved over a little in her chair so Ryan could sit down.

"Well I don't think we could have gotten better" Drew spoke up "I mean come on what could be better than dinner with two beautiful women?"
