Note: This fanfic is as accurate as I could percieve Jake and Taylor's relationship, and how it actually went. I've based the fanfic off of RED and songs that are believed to be about Jake on the album, interviews about their relationship, articles, and facts. I also incorporated Jake and Taylor's personalities into the story to make it very accurate.
CHAPTER 1: Speak Now
Speak Now. This album I have been working on for almost 2 years now. Writing every single song by myself. My diary put into rhythms and rhymes. Bracing myself for the release date in October. The chance worth taking of writing this ablum completely by myself for the sake of my fans. I just released my first single 'Mine' back in August. It was a hit. I was surprised my fans loved it so much. It went #1 on iTunes within hours. I recieved several text messages when I landed in Japan from Selena, Scott, and Nathan Chapman congradulating me on the success of the single. I was on the verge of tears because I was so exstatic with the success of 'Mine', my first single off the album I've been working so hard on. Nothing makes me more happy, than seeing my fans happy, and they know that. I've recieved a lot of fanmail since August. It's actually doubled since then, which makes it even harder to reply to as many fans as I can. I was daydreaming as I was sitting on my couch with my latte, looking over my favorite city Nashville. I had just moved into my penthouse apartment a couple of months ago. I bought the top floor of the Adelicia building. The first night I was on my own in my brand new apartment, I wrote 'Never Grow Up' because adulthood was setting in and I realized I now had to make a lot of grown-up decisions, which was scary. A lot of things scared me, but I'm 20 now and time is slipping through my fingers so I need to enjoy myself. I was still sitting on my couch, daydreaming and admiring my giant bird cage and mini indoor pond with Koi fish, when Paula my publicist called me. "Hello?" "Hey Taylor, would you like to attend the MTV music awards?" Paula asked. "Yeah, of course, sounds like fun." I replied. "Alright, we will need to start picking out dress ideas later today." "Alright sounds good Paula, I'll talk to you then." I got off the phone with Paula and set my iPhone on my living room side table. I headed down my hallway, my feet against the stained brown hardwood floor. I got to my bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. My hair was slightly frizzy and my curly blonde hair was in a mess. I had absolutely no make-up on. People think I have more confidence than I actually did. I sheded my clothes and took a shower. After a couple hours went by and my hair was dry, I curled my hair and put on dark eyeliner. I slipped on a floral dress and a light sweater because I got cold easily. I got into a black Escalade that was waiting on me in the parking garage, still not having a car because I just bought an apartment. The car headed out of the garage and into the magical city of Nashville.
