Eddie Sharpe and his granddaughter Maddie Sharpe find themselves visiting another universe where an omnipotent female alien chooses human novels and makes them into realities full of characters who play the parts of the novel but also live a life between the novel's scenes. For some reason Eddie was the first author to be selected to observe and experience the creation process from his manuscript creation to final publication. His novel became the second best-seller in the world during its year of publication. But he didn't write it! Eddie tried to repeat "his" success, but every subsequent novel his publishers published were dismal failures.

In desperation, Eddie, encouraged by his publishers and granddaughter Maddie, started a sequel to his successful novel. He brought his granddaughter Maddie in as a story advisor. He soon found himself transported to the world of the novel's creation process. Fortunately, the initially disbelieving Maddie was transported too.

As dithering Eddie is talentless as a novelist, he and his polar opposite highly intelligent granddaughter cannot understand why he has been chosen as the only author to be transported to the universe supplying these metafictional world of novels. It turns out that in a series of connected universes, humanity's freedom rests in the writing skills of this talentless author.

How can a fraudulent, talentless, dithering author possibly hope to save humanity with his writing skills? Who is this omnipotent alien? Why does she create these metafictional worlds from human fictional literature? What does she see in Eddie?

Draw your eyes closer to the pages and start turning them to get some answers, and on the way experience an eccentric, quirky ride into the reality of Metafiction.
