My father sighed, "And why should I care about the scoundrel?"

"He might be important!" I insisted.

"What makes you think that?" he asked, leaning forwards on his chair "Why do you believe him to be so important?"

I looked around me, making sure Gamora and Nebula weren't there. Only the Other stood, watching silently as I brought out the golden helmet.

Thanos studied it with his eyes, and the Other gasped, "Asgardian gold!"

"For an Asgardian Prince," nodded Thanos, smiling down at me "It looks like I have underestimated you once more, my daughter"

"And so, you'll let him live?"

His laugh thundered through the Sanctuary, "Oh, my sweet daughter, almost eighteen, do I have to explain what captivity is?"

I gulped, shaking my head "No, father,"

"I obviously must, as you have asked if he will be left alive," he got up from his chair, walking over to me. "This prisoner of ours in an important being, as you have clearly proven. And how do we deal with important beings in our grasp?"

"We-we use them," I answered, "Like the Chitauri-"

"Like you and your sisters," he said, placing his hand on my cheek "I saw your potential, and I saved you, Gamora, and Nebula from your wretched families. The ones that waged war on me. The ones I had to destroy because of their disobedience. But I saved you because I saw in you a great power, a power that could help me get what I wanted"

I nodded, lightly. This was the closest he'd usually get to saying that he loved us.

He patted my shoulder, climbing back up to his chair and sitting once again. "I see great potential in him as well. He is already a perfected fighter, as he is a Prince of Asgard. I will, er, persuade him to join my forces, and he will serve a great purpose. Thank you, Camaria, for showing your worth to me once again"

I bowed, walking back to my room. I could hear the Other chuckling silently.
