I tightened my grip on my backpack trap, feeling weird as I walked into the library alone. It felt like everyone was looking at me, like I was some fish and they were the sharks. I let out a sharp breath as someone throws a pen at me.

Chuckles and giggles filled the silent library, I kept my head hung low, my hair covering my face. I pushed up my black hipster glasses as they were falling to the bridge of my nose.

I made my way to the stairs of the library, going to the children section and trying to read the titles. I just looked at the cover to guess what the books were about.

I settled on the book Green eggs and ham, the book I've been stuck on for the past week. Trying to read past page twelve but failed. I sit at a table and I opened the book and went to page twelve, placing my finger under the words.

Letting my fingers caress the page lightly under the book, I move my eyes trying to read the words that get mixed up together.

Why is it getting worse?

It was harder to read this time, my dyslexia wasn't something to get better for me. As I start to struggle to breathe I take out my inhaler, putting it between my lips and sucking in.

I push the little thing at the top as I take a deep breath in, after doing that a couple times I part it from my lips and put it in my bag. I continue to try and read the children book when someone takes a seat next to me.

I look up from the book seeing, Lola, the schools bitch. She grins at me and looks at the book.

"Hey, Max." She speaks, her high pitch voice is heard.

"H-h-hi." I stutter.

"Would you like to hang out with me and my friends? We have room for you, I mean you can say no, don't wanna force you." She says.

"R-really?" I asked, shocked.

She nods.

"Of course." I smile, closing the book.

She then starts laughing, "You fell for it! You actually think a freak like you would be offered to sit with a girl like me? Yeah right." She giggles, and walks away to her "friends"

Feeling numb by her words I just let this go like I usually do, I mean I'm a freak, people like me don't belong in a clique like hers.

I sigh, opening the book again, continuing to try and read.

"Excuse me?" A tap was on my shoulder.

I turn my head, looking up to see a middle aged women with glasses.

"Yes, ma'am?" I smiled.

"Get out. I know this is some joke, you reading a children's book, now get up and go with your silly friends. I don't tolerate people like you who think its funny to read a children's book." The lady spats, harshly and walks away.

I blink a couple times, this has never happened before. I sigh, closing the book and picking it up from the table. I grab my bag while holding the book to my chest. I swing my backpack over my shoulder and walk to the counter.

I place the book down and smile at the worker.

"Hi." He smiled. "May I help you?" He asked.

"Um, I-I would l-l-like to check this out." I stumble on my words.

He laughed, "Is this for your younger sibling?" He asked, grabbing the book.

"N-no, sir. Its for me." I look down, embarrassed.

"Get out." He snaps. "You kids these days always joking about stuff like this. Out, now." He demanded.

I look at him, shaking my head. I walk away in shame and embarrassment, the popular kids laughing silently at me.

"Freak!" Someone shouted, only for me to be shushed.

I walk a tad faster, wanting to go home and be in my bed already. Man I wanna go home, I wanna go home to my friends. Yes, my friends. Aka my parents.

They're my best friends, I love them to death, they've helped me through everything. I can't thank them enough for everything they've done for me.

I exit the library, the fresh air I breathe in, the wind blowing in my hair as I close my eyes while looking up at the cloud filled sky.

"Hey, bitch!" Someone shouted, pushing me to the ground, making me fall flat on my stomach. "Idiot." The familiar voice laughs.

I roll on my back seeing, GrethanCarpendail, the biggest douchebags in the world. My breathing starts to become uneven, I need my inhaler but I know they wont help me.

"Look at the little worm, not able to breathe. Whats wrong?" Jack bends down. "Oh wait, I don't care." He chuckles (ME).

"P-p-please." I beg, squeezing my eyes shut.

"Dude c'mon, lets just go." Grayson says.

"Fine, but after I do this." Jack smirks, taking my backpack and dumping everything out.

He sees my inhaler and steps on it, breaking it completely, and throwing my backpack at me. I was now a coughing mess as they all walked away and laughed.

This can't be happening.
