CHARTER 2
Three months have passed by, and my son is on his way, and I have five more months to see my baby girl. I can't believe it. Two babies coming within seven months apart. Jamal walks up to me, "How are you Mommy? I have lunch on the table." I just smile at him, thanking God for putting him in my life. "I'm ok Daddy. Thank you for making me lunch, but I'm not hungry right now. How's your sister?" He looked at me as if I had said something wrong to him. "She's fine. She made you lunch, and wants to go on a walk with you. She wants the babies to come out healthy." I started to get up, he came over to pick me up. "I got it Baby, she's not kicking me right now. Tell your sister I said, 'I'm coming right down.'" In a weird way, I didn't want to go for that walk. I was to scared that something may happen again. Before he walked out of the room, he kissed my belly, saying "I love you daughter of mines. Daddy can't wait to see his little girl out here playing with me and your brother." Soon after, all I could feel was her touching his face, as if she knew that it was her daddy talking to her.
As I walked down to the kitchen, I seen that my favorite sandwich was waiting on me at the table, a BLT, looked the way that I loved it. "Who made this?" As I'm almost to the table. "We both did. But Jamal put the most work into it." I looked at him as he sat down at the table, he didn't look the same as he did up in the room. "Daddy? Are you o..." Before I could get the "k" out of my mouth, he fell to the ground. Adriana began to cry, I fell to my knees right by his head. Screaming at his sister, "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND CALL 911." She stopped, ran to the phone, and called 911. Within 10 minutes, help arrived at the house, told me, "Everything is going to be ok. Please let us do our jobs." So, I moved, but I made sure they took me with them.
At the hospital, his doctor told me, "Ma'am, Jamal will be just fine. He'll be able to go home tomorrow morning. But tonight we just want to ran some test." I look at Jamal laying in his bed sleep. The one thing I had to do, was go lay next him. "Hey Doc., is it ok if he can get a bigger bed. I have to lay next to him. I know that he loves to know that I'm laying right next to him. It's something his fairly big on nowadays, saying that I'm pregnant." He looked down at my stomach, "There's no way that you're pregnant." I looked at him as if he was going crazy, "I'm only four months. We just now find out what we were having, the same day I found out that I was pregnant. Which was two weeks ago Doc." He just stopped, and look at me, then my stomach, then his sister, and asked me "Is that his baby also? If you don't mind me me asking ma'am."
I looked at myself as if he was crazy for even asking me that question. I just had her come over, and tell the doctor who she was.
"Hi Doctor Johnson. I'm Adriana. His sister. Is he going to be ok?" He just looked at me, then looked at her, then at him. "His going to be fine. But are you sure that his your brother?" She looked as if he was asking her to answer a question that she dream not of answering. "I'm sure. We haven't seen each other in years. But I always knew where he was, but in secrecy." The doctor looked at him, then looked at her. "You wouldn't mind it I take a sample if your blood? He may need some blood. And if you're his sister, you should be able to match his blood type."
You can tell that she didn't want to do it. "Am I even able to do that while pregnant?" She looked at me with an undeniable concerned face. "Doctor Johnson, can I talk to you over there please."
They walk away from me. But they just looking at me, as if she has told him something that I don't know. I just can't help but to notice, there's something wrong with Jamal. I walk over to his bedside. He knows it's me somehow, and pulls me onto the bed, but not to fast. Then, he just raps his arms around me, saying, "I'm never letting you go Mommy."
Doc. looks over as if his mad. "You can't do that, but saying what I know now, you may do that. But ONLY YOU MAY SLEEP IN HIS BED WITH HIM." I put a small smile on my face. "Thank you doctor. And I just didn't walk over here, jump in his bed. He pulled me onto his bed!"
The doctor keep coming by his room every 30 minutes. I couldn't understand why. And Adriana came up missing AGAIN.
About 5:35a.m, Jamal woke up. He looked at me with a great big smile on his face. "Mommy, you stayed." Then kissed my neck. "Of course Daddy. Way would I leave you when you need me the most?" He smiles. Then he looks for his sister. "Where the fuck is Adriana?" I looked around. "I don't know Baby. She came to see you last night. But after that, I didn't see her."
She left a note on his lite hospital table, saying, "Jamal, I'm sorry. I can't do this anymore. Gabriella, my baby is yours. Jamal took your egg out of you will you were sick a few years back, and put them away. He also put away some of his sperm. He asked me to act like I was pregnant by myself. But it's really y'all baby boy that I'm having. Jamal, I'm sorry brother. But the doctor funded out, and tired to... I don't even want to speak of that. I'll meet you where the birds don't fly, the bees walk and talk, and the people believe. I love you both. Bye."
He couldn't believe that she did that. All I could do is look at him. "When did you take my eggs Jamal? And why?" He looked at me with a face of sadness. "When you had your heart surgery. They said that you may not be able to have kids, so I had them take some of your eggs. Thankfully, they did. Adriana is my real sister. But not full. She agreed to have a baby for us. I asked her to just play along with it, she was doing it just fine. But when you ended up pregnant, she felt as if I had played her Baby. She's just upset with me. And wants us to meet her at the water park next week, at 3:45pm Tuesday.
I sit back trying to find out why they had planned its all. "Daddy, why didn't you just tell me. I would have understated. And since when do you and Adriana use codes?" He smiled at that question. "Baby, we were scared. Didn't know how you'd reacted. And we've been using codes. That's the only way that we could talk without anyone knowing, not even you, want we were talking bout."
We just sit back, laughed, smiled, kissed, and hoped for the best. The doctor came in, letting is know that everything is ok, and we were free to go. We walked out with great smiles upon our faces. Loving each other more then ever before.
