A little girl with blonde hair dances around in the falling snow, her young mother smiling. The mother glances up at the fence where a teenage boy sits. White hair, blue cape and deathly pale skin. He smiles back at the mother, knowing only she may see his smile. He looks down at his daughter who creates a snowman without using the falling snow. Pride blooms in the boy's chest and he moves his own hands. A herd of snowflakes land in the girls hair. She looks up at the sky before glancing over the fence, right where the boy sits. She looks right through him. His smiles fades a bit, but when the mother meets his eyes and gestures towards their daughter, the grin bounces back on and he nods.

"Maisie darling." she whispers to the laughing child, who looks up at her with wide eyes. Taking a deep breath, she stares the child in the eyes. "Would you like to meet Daddy?" At the name, the girl nods and looks at her mother with seriously beyond her years. Taking her daughters hands in hers, her mother says one word. "Believe." And she does. Screwing up her face, the little girl concentrates. The boy on the fence is now sitting with his wife, hand in hand. The little girl opens her eyes and jumps back. The boy smiles, eyes wet with tears of joy. The child runs forward and leaps into the arms of her long-lost Daddy.

"Daddy!" she cries.

"Maisie." he sighs into her shoulder. "Guess what my dear?" he asks.

"What Daddy?" is the muffled reply.

"I'm Jack Frost."
