A Night Full of Stars

Massaging my head was probably the best thing I can do. Beeping cars and chaotic city... I want an escape. That's why I'm on my way to my grand-dad, to the countryside. As we struggle to pass the bottle neck of the road, I got my headphones on and listen to every music shuffled in my playlist. I closed my eyes and took a nap, maybe all the pain and hatred will be temporarily gone by just sleeping.

I live alone, my parents are long gone and I don't have any siblings. So I stayed with Grand-dad until I entered the University. Now, I'm paying a visit because I miss him so much. "Hey sleepy head, wake up. Home sweet home!" Brianna said. I woke up and got out of the car, took my bags from the trunk and walk towards the hut my Grand-dad put up. It is a big hut, yes, the theme was kind of tropical.

"Daddy..?" I saw an old man carrying twigs with a sickle. "My little scar? Is that you? My sweet grand-daughter?" I ran towards him and gave him a warm hug. I really missed him. "I miss you daddy... I really missed you" I said with a sob. "I know you did. Now, give yourself a rest. I'll prepare you the things that you need" He separated from my hug and I gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you, dada".

Later then, evening came. The sky is beautiful, I want to explore the area. "Daddy, I'm going out" I shouted "Okay, just be careful my dear". I wandered and felt the breeze of the sea, I'm walking along the seaside.

"Ah... It's getting cold" I was hugging myself. I sat down facing the sea and a shoal dropped on my shoulders. I was going to look back when someone spoke. "No! Don't look" It's a voice of a boy. "Why?" I asked "Just...Just don't look okay?" I smiled "Okay then" I felt that he sat before me, I did not look. "You've grown beautifully" I gasped. "Huh? How did you know?" He laughed. His laugh is beautiful, not irritating. "I watched you grow" He said "So you're an old man?" He did not answer, instead he stood up and sighed. "I've long been waiting for you Scarlett" at first it gave me chills but curiosity filled my anxiety. "The guy in your dreams..." my eyes widened. "You're the guy I've been dreaming?" He answered yes. I hugged my knees, waves of water touching my toes. I felt something was tucked behind my ears. It was a cataleya. "I've seen your mother gave you that, I want to give you one also" he said. I can feel the sincerity. "Who are you? The guy who appears in my dreams? Can I look at you now?" I have so many questions to ask but he only said one thing "Are you going to believe me if I'll tell you that I'm no human?" I sniffed the shoal... smells like my dad's. "If that's going to feed my anxiety. I will" He sat beside me, but I can only see his toes. His skin tone's different with mine, his was glowing, and mine was pale. "I'm a celestial spirit, particularly a Leo. I'm your guardian" He quips..."You can't see me or touch me because I might disappear".

It's been weeks and every night that boy and I spent most of the nights together... stargazing. I still don't know his name yet. I'm very careful of not looking and touching him. I don't want him to disappear...I've somehow been attached to him now. "Hey" I said "tomorrow's going to be the last day I'm going to stay" I said with a sad tone. I can't help it, I felt that I wanted to cry. I can feel his footsteps but he stopped. "When are you coming back?" he asked "I don't know, I'll be in a university after this..." I laid my back on the sand and watched the stars. I can feel it, he laid beside me. "I want to show you something tomorrow night at 8:00 pm, right here, the same spot" when I turned away from a glance, a piece of note was left behind "You don't know how much I want to hug you right now" I giggled "Silly, you know-Hey?" There's no one beside me now... Placing the note near my chest, I mumbled in silence "You don't know how much I desire to see you...Please don't go"

"Daddy, I'll be out quite long okay?" Grand-dad smiled and slid a necklace inside my pocket. "Give it to him" surprised that I ran to the sea shore. "Are you there?" I shouted "Over here!" I heard a voice coming from the woods. I followed it and a surprise was waiting for me... A glowing pond full of fishes surrounded by fireflies. "Wow!" I can't believe this "Look at the water" An illusion of Mom and Dad waving at me... I burst into crying. "Did you like it?" He asked "Yes... very much. You made me cry!" I heard his beautiful laugh again. All the pain, all the grief that I was hiding, slowly fades away because of him. "Can I please see you? Just this once?" All this time, I'm talking to a person who's been invincible to me. "Sorry..." He said "I want to say something---"A sudden rustle came from behind that I accidentally looked back... A squirrel... In front of the squirrel was the boy I truly love... Wearing a yellow shirt, a short with his blonde hair... He was so gracious and wonderful but, he was glowing and slowly disappearing! I burst into tears. Ran towards him and gave him the necklace. "NO! PLEASE DON'T DISAPPEAR!!" I rushed to hug him and he hug me back, just smiled... And now... He's gone...

So depressed, I ran towards the shore and threw myself to the deepest part of the sea, drowned-------

"Hey sleepy head, wake up. Home sweet home!" Brianna said. I woke up, Was it just a dream? I ran and went by the sea side. "ARE YOU HERE?!" I cried. I went to the woods and saw nothing there. I pushed myself down in the sands and my toes are wet. "I didn't even know your name before you disappeared..." But I saw a bottle washed away by the waves of the sea .A bottle with a letter inside... I opened it

I looked up and there's one star who stands out amongst all.

A necklace was there beside my toes... I closed my eyes and the coolest breeze was kissing my skin. "Nox it is..."
