My life was so dark,
that I barely could see,
When I saw myself,
I couldn't stand to look at me.
I was a disgrace,
a bad name to my family.
Nothing I could do could
have set me free.

I was bullied everyday,
no one believed me.
They thought I was being
an attention whore.
I've had enough spotlight,
I want to get away,
it's hard to bribe
and say I don't want it anymore.

I took to the roof,
in hopes I could fly
And went I looked down,
All I saw was white.
My past families,
bearing big smiles.
With open arms they
would catch me.

I reached out one last time,
Tears blinding my sight,
Someone grabbed my hand
And for the first time in,
I saw a ray of hope wrapped in light.

I felt as the rain
washed away my tears.
I felt as I was guided
down from the ledge.
I felt as I was cradle
in her arms.

I felt the rain wash my sadness away.
