Her jaw ached, fingers trembling as she wondered why, why did she let him torture her like this?"Pathetic," he spat out with a malignant curl of his lips, face twisted into a look of disgust at having to see her face.
His sharp claws were digging into the hollow of her cheeks, piercing the fragile flesh with all five fingers and causing black blood to drip down her pale skin, staining her white gown a ghastly shade.
She could feel the painful sting, a complete contradiction towards the trails of sparks and pleasure filled tingles his touch should leave.
Her knees collapsed beneath her, slamming with a sharp crack onto the wooden floors while he stood towering over her trembling form with a malicious smirk on his handsome features.
His eyes seemed like blazing inferno's with the immediate aspiration for her death and burial six feet underneath of his foot.
And the members from his pack watched with eager eyes to see what would become of their Alpha's un-dead mate.
Her ending had been long coming, they just didn't think that she would last this long under their Alpha's torture and resent.
Anyone with a brain would have ran with their tail between their legs yet this vampire refused to back down. And they knew it was going to cost her much more than eternal damnation.
"G-Grayson," she whimpered out his name, feeling tears collect in her amethyst eyes. Her trembling fingers caught onto his warm hands, sliding past the long claws that were embedded into her flesh to entangle their fingers together.
He was quick to dislodge her cold intricate fingers from his skin as if her touch was poisonous like a flesh eating toxin that could kill him and the action was similar to him stomping on her heart only to grind his heel several times over it.
"Don't fucking call my name, monsters like you aren't worthy of that," he snarled out, lips curled in anger and distaste as his claws retracted from her flesh. Her blood had stained his fingers black, dripping down the palm of his hands and towards his elbows to display a gruesomely vivid display of death and decay.
How could he hurt her like this?
Ai gasped sharply, air fluttering through the open holes in her cheeks as she breathed. Her skin slowly knit back together, eyes blinking blankly when his body cast a dark shadow over her face.
His body towered over her trembling form, fingers curled into a fist when long claws retracted to stare down at her pathetic face.
He didn't need a mate like her and moon goddess be damned if he didn't kill her before they could stop him.
Grayson's fist slammed straight onto her face again and again, busting her soft lips open and breaking her nose in the process with a nasty crunch.
Her cheeks had seemingly caved in on themselves, rupturing in a mess of blood and bone from the force of his punches on her fragile face. She was unrecognizable by now. Just a seemingly bloody corpse that would not die.
"Why don't you just lay down and die. You worthless piece of shit." His growls were loud and violent, rupturing her eardrums with his continued assault of her face and body. Strong legs were quick to kick her in the stomach, sending her flying several paces back before landing with a loud and sickening crunch only to continue the onslaught of punches and kicks on her body.
Ai had never been abused like this before and she didn't understand why she let herself suffer this way.
She supposed, it was probably the mate bonds doing. The bond was always egging her towards brainlessly forgiving everything that he did without a second thought. It was as if she would not survive without him in her life. As if she would not be able to breathe or continue living without the presence of Grayson Smith.
Ai wasn't scared of death.
How could someone already dead die?
Yet she knew that in the end, her death meant his salvation and that was the current drive that kept him going. He was solely waiting for the day that she completely died.
The feeling of wanting to cry yet being unable to made her chest tight, constricting her breathing until she was a shaking mess on the floor.
He barked a laugh of satisfaction at her piteous state that only he could grant her. The bond dragged and constricted her when he viciously laughed, choking her off until she was clawing pathetically at her bloody neck with feeble nails.
It hurt her and she didn't understand why he didn't feel the pain like she did. Mates were supposed to feel everything the other felt yet it seemed that she was the only one affected by the mate bond.
Almost seconds later, the other werewolves of his pack joined in. Laughing, mocking and pointing their fingers at her as she wildly tried to gasp in air through her burning lungs. The act was pointless because her wounds continued to bleed out. Her once immaculate healing was non-existent at this point.
Ai supposed that this was also because of the mate bond.
She had quickly learned that any wound her soul mate bestowed upon her did not heal quickly like her others. It still oozed blood and burned like the sun for days on end, because the bond wanted her to suffer for receiving this punishment from her mate, like it was her fault for triggering him into beating and abusing her.
Grayson waited until she managed to pull herself into an upright position, holding herself up with a slightly broken arm before narrowing his eyes at her.
"You're like a cockroach that won't die. Applaudable yet disgusting." He spat the words down at her.
"If I could, I would drop a nuclear bomb on you to test the theory." His joke had caused the entire pack to burst out into a bout of renewed laughter.
She didn't find it funny.
Her face remained cold and distant. And she didn't even see it coming when he had bent down to her level, his warm breath hot against her freezing cheeks.
Then suddenly, she could see his bloody claws shine when he flexed his fingers, daring her to move from her position with a deathly glare.
The mate bond wrapped around her entire body like long thorny vines, cutting along her flesh to hold her still and at his command.
She was stunned still, unable to process anything when his hands came out the other side of her abdomen. Her blood rained upon his face, the dark droplets making him monstrous in her eyes.
The last flicker of hope inside of her was completely extinguished like a dying candle with no wick.
No real man would hurt his mate. No real man that she loved would do that.
Her own blood tasted like death as it came oozing from her throat, dripping out of her mouth in terrifying amounts until the puddle resembled a small pond underneath her frozen body.
She slowly tipped her head up, pretty eyes mimicking a picture of his dark smirked that resembled a wild look of blood lust and hatred.
He was no longer that handsome man that she had met.
No.
He was a terrifying monster.
A beast with no heart.
He was no mate of hers.
Never.
"I accept your rejection, Alpha Grayson Smith of the Red Dawn Pack. You are no longer any mate of mine."
