Chapter 1-First contant with the alien species
It's a Monday. Possibly the worst day of the week.
I drag myself out of bed whipping the sheets off and cringing as the cold morning air hits me.I slip into the shower lathering myself in mango shower gel.I dry off and brush out my long brown hair before grabbing my bag and bounding down the stairs and out of the door.
I dont have a car so Lexi and Taylor,my best friends, take it in turns to drive me to school. Taylor rolls up,honking the horn and I hop in.
"Hey Hopey,my girl!Guess who has just made a jelly!Go on guess!"Taylor babbles.
"Er-Tay why the holy mother of moles would yu make a jelly at like half seven in the morning?"I ask, raising my eyebrows slightly at her.I'm not totally surprised.Taylor has been known to be a liddle bit weird in the morning.
"Hope why are ou even asking?"Lexi calls from the backseat, amusement ringing through her voice.
"Don't be mean Lex there's always a good reason for me doing things!"Taylor pouts. The two spend tthe rest of the journey squabbling about Taylor's,as quoted by Lexi,'physichlogical issues".This works out for me as I am,unlike Taylor, not a morning person and am prone to have some serious hulk moments unless I am fully functioning, which,I will admit can take a while. And so I get to spend the whole ride staring out of the window, trying to snap the little workers that operate my mind to attention.
When we got to school neither Taylor or Lexi had first period with me so I walked by myself to English. As usual I'm one of the first to class. I nod at some of the other nerds who are also early before unloading a heavy copy of a mid-summer's night dream to pass the time before class actually starts. When the bell rings, signalling the start of the lesson more kids file in followed by Mr Carr our English teacher. His dumpy form waddles in and he pushes his thick glasses further up his nose.Sitting himself at his desk he finally begins the lesson "Well hello class today we will be-"the door bursts open inturrupting Mr Carr.
Alec Lucas, the sort of un-official leader of the Bad boys strolls in.His thick, curly brown hair is messy and a trail of hickeys lie down his neck. It's kind of obvious why he was late.
"Sorry sir just got caught up talking to a....teacher!"He says winking at Mr Carr. Mr Carr goes beet-root red but lets it slide for today probably knowing he's lucky that Alec turned up to the lesson at all.
Alec takes a seat at the back next to one of his bad-ass buddies Hunter Perry. "As I was saying," Mr Carr continues"Today we will be starting a project about ourselves. You will be assigned a partner and you will each have to find a way to make a documentry about your selves. You could do this by video, speech or any thing else you can think of. You have one week to complete this assignment. You will have to work out of school to get this assignment finished-"(A groan from the whole class!)"And I will choose your partner as to avoid immature fighting and as to not waste time!"(Another groan!)"Here they are then, Lucy Conners with Gabby Reacher,Reece Charter with Charlotte Bishop,Will Norman with Hunter Perry,Hope Brookes with-Alec Lucas." Wait what!?
"Sorry sir did you just say that I was with Alec Lucas? As in y'know him?!"I point to the badboy who is sat smirking at me.
"Yes Hope I did.Is there a problem?"He asks,looking annoyed.
I sigh.
Yes
"No." I inwardly groan.
Bad boys and good girls don't mix. On the rare occasion they might accidentally bump into each other in the hallway or be on put on the same dodge ball team in gym but that is where the interaction ends.Five bad boys at our school and they have managed to dazzle and play with over ninety-five percent of the female population.Hunter Perry, Archer Sharp, Finn Hewitt, Tyler Lloyd and Alec Lucas.Every time the girls fall for their good-looks or the hope that one night will be enough to tame a bad-boy.It never is. feel bad for the blinded girls who are used and then thrown away like yesterdays take-away boxes. The remaining five percent are good girls.I fall into that catogory.I've never talked to a bad boy-hell I've never even looked one in the eye.And now I have to work with one for a week. It's just a week,it wont be really bad, right?Right?
