Nikia's POV :
"So that would make x equal....Miss Coleman?" Mr.Bowles my trigonometry teacher asked. "Ummmmmm....." I hesitated. "x equals 3.69." I heard Ray whisper from behind me. " x equals 39" I mocked."Correct!" Mr. Bowles shouted "Thanks" I whispered back "No Problem, Just try to stay awake" he joked. I laughed along with him even though I knew it was true. I had been studying all night for this 3rd Nine Weeks Exam and I hardly got any rest, so I should have known the answer. "Shame on Me " I thought to myself.
"Alright guys and gals, review is OVER. Pencils out and books and distractions under your desk. You are about to take the second most important test of the year. The Third Nine Weeks Exam." he said happily. (probably glad that it was almost over) The class hummed with grunts, omgs , and other complaints from around the room.Except from me I studied. As I sat up straight a d smiled proudly, Ray looked confused. " Why are you grinning ?" he questioned "Because unlike some people I studied for this exam." I boasted " Well let me get some answers." he asked "No he might catch us!"I said sternly "I don't give a fuck!" he said sounding serious " Well I do so deal with it." I said as he sighed.
"Okay I can tell that some of you didn't study so I will reschedule large test since it is not due until three weeks from now."Mr.Bowles said "YES!" the WHOLE class said "Well since we ain't taking a test let's ditch " Ray persuaded." Ummmmmm............Idunno?" I replied "Come on" he insisted "We could get in trouble!" I said even though I did want to go. "I don't give a fuck!" he said AGAIN. While Mr.Bowles wasn't paying attention Ray grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the classroom and into the hall,put his hands around me, pulled me in closer , and slowly and compassionately started kissing me. After 30 seconds of compassionate kissing I asked: "What was that?" "A kiss" he said "But Why? I thought you were with Ja-" I started as he 'shushed' me "I don't like her we're just fr- I mean ...... never mind you wouldn't understand" he protested "I wouldn't understand! You kissed me while you have a friend-with-benifits that you call a best friend!" I shouted "Follow me " her said as he walked toward an abandoned hallway. But me being the nosy person that I am , I followed him. As I walked in he was standing there with his shirt off 8-pack showing and all."You Ready?" he whispered softly "Mmm...I mean for what?" I acted like I didn't know what he was talking about."For this D!" he said sounding childish. "But I'm a virgin and I want to wait until I'm married." I cried "Then marry me?" he said. At first I thought he was joking, but then I saw the seriousness in his eyes."No I can't marry you as much as I like you and as long as I've known you I just can't. I'm not ready.........I'm sorry." I said and I walked back to the classroom almost crying.
Ray 's POV:
"Wow." I thought to myself. I put my shirt on and walked in the hallway. After all Nikia and I have been through, she denies me. Maybe it was because I proposed at school. But still how could she deny me, she loved me at least I thought she did. I walked into the classroom to see Mr. Bowles standing in the doorway. "Where have you been?" he started to interrogate me. "I was in the bathroom" I lied to him. "Well while you've been in the bathroom we've been waiting for you." he said nonchalantly "I'm sorry." I said not giving a fuck what he said because what could he been waiting on me for. "Apology accepted but next time get a hall pass or ask me." he said sternly. I nodded my head and went back to sit behind Nikia even though I didn't want to. As I sat I could tell that there was going to be some tension in the next few weeks.

Oh my gosh Rayquan actually proposed to me. I'm only 19, What the hell was he thinking? I mean I love Rayquan but I don't want to ruin our friendship with a immature MARRIAGE.As I thought to myself for a couple minutes,I decided I would go visit Ray and apologize for being so hesitant to answer. I decided to change in to my black chanel halter top, black cargo pants, and my black toms. I grabbed my phone, my purse, and my mase that my dad bought me for protection. As soon as I was walking I heard two familiar voices. "Girrrrl Yass I was ready to beat Jada's ass!" Kasondra's loud mouth scream. As soon as I walked out the door I heard both of them say at the same time "Where u going ?". Before I spoke I laughed a little. "Dayum a girl can't go somewhere without the world knowing?" "Who said the whole world was gonna know?" Kasondra argued. " You got a point...Well if you must know I'm going to Rayquan's room to..." I stopped I almost forgot I didn't tell them about the proposal. " Come on spit it out." T'kaira said slowly. " Oh..To ...Umm.. Give him back his ipod " I lied terribly. "Mmhhmmmm" They said in unison. I rolled my eyes " Well ttyl peeps" I said running off.
