The sun was gorgeous, as it was setting amongst the Canadian mountains, creating a beautiful hue of purples, oranges, and pinks. The weather was a bit chilly, and the wind definitely did not help. But this perfect peace was rudely interrupted by music from an apartment blared, with a couple of college girls doing what they do best. Be loud.
"Forget yyooouuuu! You-woo-hoo!" I sang as my two best friends, Christie, and Kelsey, and I danced to the beat. I walked over to my chocolate chip cookie dough, took a scoop and shoved it into my mouth. The taste was deliciously sweet, unlike the bitter feeling that was prominent in my heart that I felt towards my ex-boyfriend as of three hours ago. The image was still fresh in my mind, the naked flesh and clothes littered all around my floor. My ears still infected with the nasty sounds of betrayal. I even gave that pig a second chance! But, as you know, you can't change a person's true nature, no matter how hard you try.
"You go, girl! You don't need him." Christie said, taking a sip of her father's bourbon. I drowned in my sorrow with music, friends, and delicious cookie dough.
"Yeah! I'm amazing all by myself! I don't need any cheatin' fleabag in my life!" I yelled as "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson started playing. I enjoyed these older songs. We continued to sing and danced and eat, when out of the blue, the front door slammed open and shook the house. A ferocious growl overpowered the music. My friends froze as the intruder stepped inside and revealed himself. I sighed. Not again, I thought as I turned off my music.
"Willow. Young. What. Is. This." The intruder growled lowly and menacingly. I groaned as I rolled my eyes.
"Dad, go awwaaayyy," I whined as I spooned another bite of cookie dough, my taste buds rejoicing at the taste of cookie dough, but my stomach was protesting. He sighed and shook his head.
"Willow, what's wrong?" I ground my teeth as my stubborn nature became dominant.
"Nothing. Nothing at all, Dad." I spat out. He narrowed his chocolate brown eyes at me and turned to my still-frozen friends.
"Christie. Kelsey." Their eyes widened out of fright. "What's wrong with my stubborn daughter?" He asked although it was more of a command since he used his Alpha voice. My eyes widened and I turned to my friends. I shook my head in a frenzy.
"Don't you dare. Don't you dare tell him." They were silent for a moment when Kelsey opened her mouth.
"Alpha Blake-" Kelsey started to say, but I yelled at her.
"Kelsey!" I yelled out of disbelief. But she continued. Stupid Alpha voice, I thought, sulking and glaring at my dad and Kelsey.
"Sir, her boyfriend cheated on her..." Kelsey drifted off nervously.
"Again. With the same girl." Christie spat out angrily. My dad's eyes became darker, nearing their black color when he gets royally pissed off. His breathing increased, now in a huff and puff kind of thing.
"He WHAT??!!!!" My dad roared. He started to shift, his claws coming out as patches of fur starting to show. My friends shrieked and my eyes widened.
"Dad. Dad. Dad! Calm down!"
He let out a threatening howl as he jumped out the door, fully shifting into his dominant wolf. I ran towards the front door, only to see him long gone."Dad!!" I yell outside, but I get no response. I groaned and ran to the side of the house, where I kept my motorcycle.
"Wait! Willow, just wait! Think this through first." My friends pleaded on my deaf ears. They started to shift as I climbed on it and rode to my ex-boyfriend's house, with Christie and Kelsey on my tail. I knew the route by heart, as I had been over there several times. The wild smell of the forest filled my nostrils, as the gorgeous sunset shone a light on the pathway.
