Beep! Beep!
The sound of the school bell
wrung around the halls.
It was the end of the first day back at
South End High, Pittsburgh,
USA.
As usual everybody were in there little groups.
The Sci-Fi Nerds hudeled up by the chemistry lab talking Star Wars
The jocks running up and down the hall throwing footballs at each other,
The cheerleaders in the
Gym practising there pyramid,
and all the norms (aka normal people) in there own little groups elsewhere.
Amanda was helping her team with the pyramid when
she got whisked off her feet
and spun around.
When it was over she turned around.
"Babe" it was her boyfriend Max.
"Hay" she jeered back as he pulled her in for a hug.
"You free tonight?" Mark asked.
"Yeah what for?" Amanda answered.
"I'm bringing you to dinner tonight! " he said very proud of himself.
"Awhh babe" Amanda awed as she hugged him tighter and kissed him on the cheek.
Mark walked to the gym door.
"See you tonight" Amanda called.
"See yah" he answered" I'll pick you up at eight".
"Eight it is" she said.
Amanda ran home as fast as she could, she'd been dating Mark for over a year now and
she wanted to do herself up extra special.
