Emily sat down next to him "I work in Starbucks!" She said faking cheer. "Starbucks is overrated!" Jaime said, Emily wasn't sure he was saying it to cheer her up, or because he genuinely didn't like Starbucks. Either way she laughed, "Do you Erm...have a boyfriend?" Jaime shakily asked her, his left hand touching his neck. Emily considered two routes, telling him she was a lesbian, or just laughing as if he made a hilarious joke. She went with the first one.
She began to laugh, "Do you even need to ask that?" She responded, giggling. Jaime looked down at his lap, Emily was confused now. "Oh...right...I should've guessed, you probably have a really hot, muscly boyfriend." He said, disheartened and slightly sarcastically annoyed. He began to get up, " Well I'd better-" "No!" Emily let before he could finish his sentence. He sat down again, "look! I've waited six years for you! And I'm not gonna, you're on my mind most of the time. I like you and I'm not gonna hide that. If you don't like me back, it's fine! Just don't mess me around please!" He vented. Emily didn't know what to do, she didn't know what to say, she felt the need to though, incase he tried to leave again.
"I...I was joking. I don't have a Boyfriend." Was what Emily came out with when she decided to wing it. Jaime looked up, his eyes full of hope, "So you'd consider going out with me?" He asked. Emily could not believe what was happening, "yeah" she answered, not wanting to sound too keen, or too bored at the same time. "Really?! Yes!" Jaime reacted, punching the air. "I mean...cool!" He tried to calm his excitement. He couldn't not hug her though, she couldn't help but hug back. "Fuck you tony! In your face!" They both heard mike shout from next door."How did I not hear you guys before?!" Emily thought aloud. "I do not know." Jaime commented, an easy laugh escaping his lips, "Shall we venture next door?" He suggested. "Sure, lets go!" Emily said, she felt a strange freedom, an easiness she'd never felt before, she just went with it though.
Jaime grabbed on to Emily's hand and didn't let go till the got to the front of next door. Jaime checked his pockets, "Damn!" He cursed to himself, "forget the key!". He was about to knock on the door, when Emily put her left hand to his mouth and shushed him with her right. She unlocked her door, Jaime automatically following her in. "I've got idea!" She said, opening her balcony door too, she leaned over as far as she could, tapping the door next to hers. She quickly stepped back in and closed the door just in time, she giggled quietly. Jaime couldn't help but laugh at how cute she was. She heard next door, "there's no one there guys! Must be a ghost!" And laughing followed. She stepped outside again, repeating what she last did. "Just ignore it! Some kids messing!" They heard mike say. Emily did it one last time, they heard someone open the door, "this is getting creepy guys, what if it's fans or something!" He spoke. "Oh get back in you pussy!" Mile responded.
"Shall I climb to their balcony and knock again, and you knock on the door?" Emily suggested. "I think that's a good plan!" Jaime agreed, making his way for the door. "You count to thirty before knocking!" Emily whispered loudly at Jaime, he put a thumb up to her. Emily climbed the balcony, counting down from thirty too. She knocked on the glass door, " you go for the door mike!" She pressed her face against the glass. The curtains opened quickly and Vic jumped on seeing her, but he opened the door anyway.
Jaime and Emily laughed loudly, while the other three were pale as ghosts. "Thanks guys!" Tony said sarcastically.
