Sleeping Heart [Jackunzel Modern]

The sun was shining and that meant that all students are to get out of bed and start a new day at school.

It was Wednesday, it shouldn't be so hard since the weekend is approaching. But for Rapunzel, she doesn't want to go out of her bed and her room.

She wanted to be alone and just sulk. She feels like her dad doesn't care about what she thinks and feels anymore.

Her alarm clock rang but she would always set it thirty minutes early. She turned and saw the photograph of her and her mom. Tears streamed down her face.

I miss you mom, can I see you now?

Jack, Hiccup and Merida waited at the gates of the school where they would usually meet and it was usually Rapunzel who arrives first among the four of them.

"Maybe she forgo' ter set 'er alarm clock?" Merida suggests but she knew her theory's wrong.

"Can't be, she always set her alarm clock even in weekends" Hiccup says, craning his neck to check for her car or a girl with golden blonde hair approaching. But no luck.

The three waited for twenty more minutes but their fourth friend is still nowhere to be found.

"That's it, she's not coming" Merida huff and stands up from the bench they were sitting on.

Jack felt nervous, did they're talk didn't work out well yesterday? He was about to call her when Hiccup jumped up to his feet "Finally! She's here!"

Rapunzel's white car stops in front of them. Jack got up to his feet when the car door opened. "Punzie, what took you so-"

Jack stopped when he saw a woman with curly black hair wearing a very formal and sparkly outfit come out of the car. He recognized her but what was she doing here?

"Who are ye and where's Rapunzel?" Merida asks, an evident scowl on her round face. She always hated people wearing fancy clothes. It annoys her.

Gothel takes off her shades gracefully "I'm Rapunzel's stepmother and I'm here to tell you that she's in the Northern Hospital" she says casually.

Jack's eyes widened in shock "Hospital?! What happened to her?" Hiccup took the words out of his mouth. Jack can't find his voice.

"Well we found her in her room unconscious and pale...she cut her wrist" Gothel continues which made Jack furious, It seems like it was nothing to Gothel.

"Wut?!" Merida shrieks and Jack ran towards the car "come on! We need to go now!"

Hiccup and Merida rushed inside. Gothel looked at them, disgusted "Get the hell out of my car" she says.

Hiccup was starting to get pissed "This car isn't yours, it's Rapunzel's and doesn't sound like you cared about her well being" he says "You got a purse there yeah? You can just use a cab" Hiccup glares at her before closing the car door.

"Useless Mother that's what she is" Hiccup muttered and that's when Jack drove away.

Hold on Punz, don't leave us...
