Chapter 1. The Job

Our story starts with Dr. Sara Bradley heading to the FBI to meet with Special Agent Jacob Davidson to discuss a job opening. "Where's Agent Davidson's office?" she asked a young woman. "Down the hall, third door on the left, and if he's not there just have a seat." "Thank you." she said gratefully. "Third door on the left..." Sara thought to herself. "Can I help you?" Agent Davidson asked walking into the room. "Hi, I'm Sara Bradley I talked to the director a few days ago about the field agent position and he told me to talk to you." "Okay, Miss Bradley do you have any special skills?" "Yes, I'm trained in hand-to-hand combat." "Do you know how to shoot a gun?" "No, but I'm a fast learner." she said hopefully. "Okay, I want you to meet me at the gun range tomorrow at 3:30." "Alright, thank you Agent Davidson for your time." Sara said walking out the door. "Did you find it alright?" asked the young woman Sara talked to before. "Yes, thank you." she said heading for the elevator.

"Wow, the D.C Forensic Institution!" Sara whispered excitedly. "Hi, where's Dr. Little's office?" she asked a nearby security guard. "Can I have your name please?" "Sara Bradley, I'm here to see Dr. Little." she said quizzically. "Okay, her office is right back there." he said pointing behind the platform. "Thank you." she said politely. "Excuse me, Dr. Little?" "Yes, how may I help you?" "Hi, I'm Dr. Sara Bradley..." "Sara?" someone said behind her. Sara turned around, looked at the person and said. "Madison?" "Hey, oh, it's been so long!" "I know what are you doing here?" "I work here." "No kidding!" "You two know each other?" asked Dr. Little. "Yeah, we were college roommates and best friends back in college." Sara said still shocked and excited from seeing Madison. "Well, that's ironic, but what did you want to see me about Dr. Bradley?" "Oh yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that new intern position." "If your a doctor, why do you want to be an intern?" "I believe in starting small and getting bigger over time." "Okay, well welcome to the D.C Forensic Institution, I'm Dr. Alexandra Little and you've obviously met Madison she dies our facial reconstructions." "Thank you, Dr. Little." "Madison will show you to your office and introduce you to your new co-workers and when we get new remains I will give you a call to take a look." "Okay, thank you again Dr. Little and I'm very happy to work here." "Your welcome, I'm glad to have you here." she said walking up on the platform. "Your office is over here." Madison said pointing next to Dr. Little's office. "Wow, it's huge I've never had an office this big!" "I know the owner Mr. Thompson is very generous. Now come on time to introduce you to your co-workers." Alright, I'm ready." "David, this is Dr. Sara Bradley our new intern, Sara this is Dr. David Simpson he's our bug and slime guy." "Nice to meet you David." "Nice to meet you Sara, and welcome to the world of forensic anthropology!" "Thank you David." she said walking after Madison. "This is Dr. Angela Newcomb, she's the boss in the lab and Angela this is Dr. Sara Bradley our new intern." "Nice to meet you Sara." "Nice to meet you Angela." "Angela where's Nigel?" Madison asked curiously. "He's on the platform." "Thank you, come on Sara." Madison said grabbing Sara's arm. Nigel this Dr. Sara Bradley our new intern and Sara this is Nigel Brunson one of Dr. Little's grad students." "Sara it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Nigel said as he gently kissed her hand. "Thank you, and it's nice to meet you too." Sara said flattered. "So now that you've met everyone let's go get reacquainted." Madison said pulling Sara towards the door. "Alright, let's go!"
