Castiel knocked on the Bradburys' door and waited for someone to open the door.
"Charlie, open the door please!" He shouted, knocking a second time. Moments later, a short, red - haired girl open the door and wrapped her arms around him.
"Cas!" She shouted, a smile growing on her face. "Hello, Charlie." He replied and patted her hand with his free hand.
His other hand held his backpack that was stained and tearing. He needed it since he was staying over to watch Charlie for a few days.
Every few months her parts left on a mini vacation and, being the family friend that they all trusted, Cas always came to watch over her. It was a plus plus for Charlie.
Castiel was six years older than her so they had basically grown up together, Castiel always living a few houses down. But, since Cas had been away at college and work the past few months, Charlie couldn't share her eighth grade happenings.
"Come on in, bud." She beamed, holding the door open for him. Castiel muttered a thank you her way as he slung the old backpack on his shoulder and walked in. He only stopped to slip his shoes off.
