Toriel's House

"Well here we are little one! Let me show you your room!" she takes my hand before I can respond and leads me to a room. "You can explore around for a bit and I'll see you in a bit." She leaves and I look at my 'new' room.

It's a pretty pale cream orange room. I look around a notice a box of toys. I go up and notice a mirror and see my reflection. Black hair with hints of red here and there, green eyes, tiny nose, tannish skin. My appearance didn't change on my way down here that's for certain. Though I did have some smudges of dirt around me. I explore the room once more and I notice a box of shoes. There are so many different pairs of shoes and in different sizes. I look down at my shoes and decide not to change them. After all I'm wearing boots and if I have to trek around somewhere I need something that will be sturdy. 

I pull a couple of my clothes out of my bag and begin to change quickly. 

Only 1 week worth of clothing. 1 week of food and this is rations of dried fruit and meat, nuts and such. A flashlight, a small first aid kit, my iPod and headphones, a broken phone, the phone Toriel gave me has a clip but doesn't work when I try to call my friends, batteries, matches, rope, and some soap and paper. Thank the heavens I come prepare and that I am an explorer.

I leave my room and notice two other doors. I go to the middle one and it's a dark blueish room.I try to find a light but I find nothing.  At least I can still see.  I quickly realize this is Toriel's room and I notice a journal on her desk. I pick it up to read. I see a couple of jokes written on there and noticed one circled in red. Why did the skeleton need a friend? Because he was bonely. I chuckled lightly at the pun. Jokes were also another favorite thing of mine. 

I put the journal back and leave the room. I go to the end of the hallway and notice the last room. There is a sign that reads under renovation. I tried to open the room but it was boarded up completely.  Oh well, nothing I can do about it. I walk away and go to the living room and notice a huge chair that belongs to Toriel but I do not see her there. I go to the kitchen and notice a sweet smell. There I see a pie but I better not get a piece, it would be rude.

I find a bookshelf and pull out a faded history book and turn to a page.

"Trapped behind the barrier and fearful of further human attacks, we retreated. Far, far into the Earth we walked, until we reached the cavern's end. This was our new home, which we named...."Home." As great as our King is, he is pretty lousy at names." 

I chuckled at the fact of the name. I flip through the book and notice there is not much information. Other books Toriel has are either educational, recipes, or about snails.

"..I wonder where Toriel went then? Maybe outside the Ruins?" I notice in the middle of the hallway stairs that lead who knows where. But I was suddenly exhausted. "Maybe...I can ask her tomorrow...I'm so tired." I go to the guest room Toriel showed me and my eyes closed before anything. 

Next Morning

I wake up. I shifted slightly and notice on the floor a slice of pie. I smile and get off the bed and pick up the slice of pie. It smells good. Let me...save it for later. I put it my bag where I realize I don't have much space left. I could probably only hold eight more things before I ran out of space. Next time if I go on another adventure and it turns out like this...I better bring a bigger bag. I leave the room and walk to the living room where I notice Toriel sitting in her chair.

"Oh my child! Come here. Let me tell you everything we can do today! I have set up a curriculum to teach you, it may be surprising but I always wanted to teach . Also-"
