Chapter 35 - Disclosure

Miguel was sitting at the waiting area outside the operating room. He was looking down while holding his head. A quick steps walks towards  him, he felt the hand on his shoulder, he raised his head and meet that gentle eyes. He hugged her and he let it all out he cried like a child on Pia's shoulder.

What happened this morning is so tragic that his mind cannot even comprehend. He was so confused , he asked God why did it happened. He felt so much pain in his heart.

" Mom.. Oh My God...Mom..."
He controls his scream, he sobs.

Pia was holding him. She was crying with him. The pain in Miguel's eyes is like a knife that cuts thru her heart. Miguel is a strong but gentle person and now he looks like a helpless child in her arms.

When Batchi arrived at the Hospital, he saw Miguel crying on Pia's shoulder. Her knees were weak, it almost felt like there is no more strenght left in her body, Abby was holding her. She look at Pia, their eyes seems to speak to each other.

She saw Wila and Sally from one corner of her eyes , They were talking to the Doctors , their eyes also meet and just that Batchi gave in and cried loosing her control.

She then saw Wila as she slowly lose her ability to support herself.

She slowly slide on the wall and ended on the floor hugging her knees she cannot believed what just happened. She cried so hard, she screams Althea's name.

" She has been in comma for almost four weeks.  But the good thing is her vital signs are now stable.  We will schedule the operation of her broken disc on her spine as soon as possible, we need to replace it with titanium so she can breath properly.
The bullet exited on her nape that damaged the no. 7 disc of her spine making her breathing difficult.
We are also trying to control the development of Pneumonia.."

" Her condition right now is not that good, She is paralyzed from neck down.  But we are still hopeful that after the operation and  we start with the Therapy she can still walk on her own and be normal.  But ofcourse our primary concern is to see her awake.  "

" Mr & Mrs Howell we will do our best to help your daughter.  She is fighting this...we know,  there is something  noticeable with her...she seems to be just sleeping, her BP is normal eversince, her breathing is okay. We need to stay positive. "

Miguel and Pia was at Jade's Room

Jade's fingers moved.  Pia was sitting beside Jade's bed when she saw it.  She immediately signaled it to Miguel.
Miguel stand up and leaned forward Jade, He speak to her ears..

" Tita Jade...we are here..."

They waited for anymore movement from Jade. There were a slight movement on her brows.  The two became excited.

" I'll call the Doctor.."
Pia told Miguel, she rushed to the Nursing Station.

Miguel speaks again to Jade's ears, He was holding her hands.

" Tita Jade...this is Miguel...Can you hear me..can you move your fingers again?..."

He waited for Jade's response.  He continued to carress her fingers.  Then he noticed a slight movement of Jade's fingers.  Miguel continue to talk to Jade, encouraging her.
