Bloodlust

Chapter 2

   Sa tanang buhay ko, ngayon lang ako kinabahan ng ganito. I am now heading towards the dark forest of Cross Academy with my bestfriend Nate today for the screening of students. Pagkatapos ko kasing isend ang confirmation letter ko sa Cross Academy ay agad nila akong tinawagan para iinform na malapit na ang huling araw nang screening ng lahat ng estudyanteng nakapasa sa exam.

Kaya heto ako ngayon sa loob ng sasakyan ni Nate, hindi mapakali dahil sa kaba.

"Can you please calm down for a bit? Pati ako kinakabahan dahil sayo eh." Nate said.

Inirapan ko lang siya. Naiinis pa din kasi ako sa kanya. How dare he not to tell me about him taking exams for Cross Academy. Last week, I came barging into his room ready to kill him. Pinatikim ko siya ng malakas na sipa sa tuhod, kung hindi ko pa nakita ang pangalan niya sa listahan eh hindi ko pa malalaman. Wala ata siyang balak sabihin sa bestfriend niya.

Kaya kahit ayaw niyang sabay kaming pumunta sa screening, wala siyang magagawa kasi makakatikim ulit siya ng sipa galing sakin. Kesyo daw nakakahiya akong kasama, kesyo ayaw niyang mapagkamalang magsyota kami, aba pribelehiyo kaya yun.

"Hey, sorry na nga di ba. Look, nakalimutan ko lang talagang sabihin sayo kasi nawala din sa isip ko. I didn't take it seriously though, triny ko lang yung exam. Sorry na bud." Pagsusumamo niya sa akin.

"Don't talk to me, you're already keeping a secret from me. Para saan pa't magbestfriend tayo." I said while throwing tantrums to him.

"Oo nga't para saan pa ang pagiging magbestfriend natin. Alam mo naman na ikaw agad ang pinagsasabihan ko ng whatever-you-call-it-things di ba, saka mas nauuna ka pa ngang nakaka-alam sa mga businesses ko kaysa kila mommy at daddy. You know what, you're still my best bud." Seryoso niyang sabi.

Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya. Yeah, that was true. He trust me more than he trust his parents. We are good at keeping our own dirty little secrets since we are still kid.

"Remember when I had my first crush, first confession and first heartbreak, ikaw agad pinagsabihan ko. Because in the first place, I know that you can keep my secrets as much as I keep your secrets." tumingin siya sa akin at ngumiti.

"Err, stop with the drama na. Oo na, pero bilang kabayaran diyan, libre mo ako maya sa canteen nila." I pouted.

"Oo na kamahalan." He quickly agreed.

We drove past the big trees and darkness of the forest, may mga mangilan-ngilan ding sasakyan na papunta sa Cross Academy. Siguro ay mga kapwa din naming estudyante. The road was a little bit gloomy and dull, showing us a perfection. A perfection of a dark fairytale.

After a while, we are now approaching the academy's enormous front gate. Nawala na ang kadiliman at napalitan na ng liwanag mula sa araw. I was mesmerized by the academy's view. The main school building looked like an old castle, surrounded by bunch of red roses. Three bulk buildings was also standing erect at the far sides of the main building.

We are welcomed by their dazzling security guards. Even the security guards looks so good in their black suit. I bet there are students here who are flirting with those guards. I mentally slapped myself. What am I even thinking?

Pagkapasok ng sasakyan ni Nate, I almost drool over the fountain located at the center that magically sparkles as the sun's rays beam through it. May mga nakapalibot ditong mga mapupulang rosas, mapupulang rosas na katulad ng nananalaytay na dugo sa katawan ko. Incoming freshmen were scattered everywhere, familiarizing theirselves to the academy's ambiance.

Pagkapark ng sasakyan ni Nate, dali-dali naming tinahak ang daan papuntang main building. While entering the main building, the time wrapped and brought us back into a great history. The academy's inside view looked like an old building from the streets of Russia. Great artworks were painted at the ceilings, which made me feel like going back to the ancient period in France. Greek gods and goddesses are watching us from above, giving slight goosebumps to my skin.
