Hi, my name is (y/n). Well, at least that was what they told me.

I was involved in a tragic car accident when I was 17, killing both of my adoptive parents; Jenny and Christopher Peterson ...and that's pretty much all I know, weird right?

The emergency services only learnt my name by the locket I was wearing, a solid silver teardrop shape engraved 'Our Beautiful Daughter, (y/n).' and on the back it wrote 'Love, Mum and Dad ~ Jenny and Chris.'

The doctors only assumed that the bodies in the car belonged to Jenny and Chris as both of them had no identification, medical records, e.c.t (and the same goes for me.) And as for knowing that they weren't my biological patents? The doctors ran a DNA test on both me and them, It wasn't a match, not only that but my blood doesn't match any of their medical records.

I've never been able to open the locket, I expect there is just a family portrait in there but I don't want to break the only thing I have left.

I somehow survived the crash, my almost lifeless body was found on a hill, resting against a few yards away from the car.

When I woke up in the hospital bed the doctors swarmed me like information seeking paparazzi, "(y/n)! Can you hear me? Hello? (...) She's waking up! (...) Do you remember anything? Who got you out of the car?" Various questions were thrown at me from every direction.

Considering that the car was flipped over into a ditch and almost fully crushed, it was pretty impossible for me to get out, never mind crawl up the steep slope to safety.

My head spun with all of the questions, I honestly couldn't remember a thing. I closed my eyes tight and took in a deep breath, I just wanted to scream with frustration.

I was later diagnosed with Psychogenic amnesia, I couldn't remember anything before or during the accident so the Doctors kept me in for further observation. The few injuries that I acquired were a broken wrist and a few cuts and scrapes over my arms and legs.

Throughout my hospital stay I often saw a tall man in red stood in the distance outside my window, the doctors put it down to the trauma and medication.

It's been almost 4 years since the accident and I've built myself a new life, a fresh unwritten chapter.

I live in a small English village around 80 miles from London. (Where the car accident took place.) I live in a small apartment on my own, it's nothing spectacular but it's 'home' to me. I also managed to get a job at the local bar, 'The Full Moon' just a half hour walk from where I live. I work every evening from 9pm onwards, usually until Luca (my boss) sends me home, the nocturnal routine seems to suit me ever so well.
