She told me that it was only until a few days that she would be able to open my eyes. They were carefully pried day by day, but with no positive results. At one instance, I saw a small speck of light but, it vanished along with my hope. Hardly had a day passed before I had seen the speck than the nurse visited again. This time she spoke with much confidence. She first lubricated my eyelids. I could feel the coolness of the lubricant slipping down towards the grooves near my nose. All throughout this I thought. This might be it. This might be a positive chance and it was! Hardly had she lubricated them than they started to slide open. My life as it was started coming back. At first I saw purple, bright purple. I screamt out in joy," I see nurse, I can see purple along with red and gold too." The nurse explained to me slowly that it was her badge that I was looking at. Slowly my vision in all its fairness came back. It came back like a shot. A bolt from the blue.
