"You what? And you did this without even bloody telling me?" Enzo yelled, the pain evident in his voice.
"Enzo..." His step mum Jess started, but was cut off by an angry Enzo.
"No! Don't you even start, you probably put him up to this" he said his finger pointed at his dad, who was sitting on the couch with his hands in his lap. "You did didn't you? Well you know what? Screw both of you" Enzo said. His words stung his dad, but he didn't dear let them show or Enzo would think he was weak.
"Look son, you can't keep going around with your head in the clouds" his dad said finally speaking up. It took the prick long enough .
"Me? How many points did I score in my last rugby game, father?" He said the last word like it was poison. Which to Enzo it was. His dad had left him high and dry after his mothers death, not even stoping to ask if Enzo was okay. He just moved on to a new girl, who he married after 6 months of dating.
"Um... Well... Six?" His dad said a little taken back.
"No, you prick it was 18. Three times what you said, who do I play for farther?" He asked
"Now what sort of question is that Enzo?" His step mum Jess asked
"One he should know the damn answer to" was Enzo's response. Before stomping down to his room, before he slammed the door shut he shouted the answer down the hall "It's Wanganui high school" he said, satisfied he had given them enough shit he slammed his door shut.

Guts is what it took for Enzo to get up the next day and start packing his bag. It was his way of accepting the fact he needed to leave and start fresh. Yesterday he didn't even ask which school he was going to. He just went ballistic as soon as his dad told him he was going to boarding school elsewhere. After one hour of packing he padded his way into the kitchen to get some food. He was a little surprised to see his dad in the kitchen at 7:46 on a Saturday morning with a cup of coffee. Normally he would be asleep till 8:30. Maybe he was thinking of not sending me? Enzo said to himself. No, he wouldn't do that another voice said. Once his dad made his mind up, that was what he would do. Nothing else, Enzo went to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of milk to pour over his weet-bix. But he was interrupted by his father.
"Enzo, your flight is at 12:00. You will spend the night in Auckland with your mum and I-"
"Step-mum" Enzo corrected him
"Yes, then you will fly to Otago by yourself at 7:35 the next morning" his dad finished
"What? What school will I go to father?"
"Um Otago boys High" Enzo started to choke on air
"Are you crazy? I can't go there!" Enzo said after recovering from choking on air who does that anyway, choke on air? Enzo thought to himself
"Why not" his father said sounding alarmed
"That's the best rugby school in New Zealand at the moment!"
"I thought you might be happy" his dad said looking down at the news paper
"I am! It's just... Um thanks father" Enzo said. It must've been the first time scene he said thanks to his father scene the death of his mum

It was quite at the airport. The only other people that where there where an old couple, they must be in there 70s. Enzo sat on a couch in the waiting lounge playing Smashy Road on his iPhone 5. I need some more games Enzo thought to himself
"Flight 009 is ready for boarding" the voice over the intercom said. Enzo got up from his seat and made his way over to the door, slinging his backpack over his shoulder and stuffing his iPhone into his pocket. After a short walk to the plane he took the steps two at a time up to the planes side door"B2" he muttered to himself, remembering where he was meant to sit.
"Passengers if you could please buckle up thanks" the pilot said over the planes intercom. Enzo did as he was asked turning to look out the window at the airport. This is the city he left behind, hopefully for a better life. Soon the airport was sliding past the window as the plane rolled forward. Soon the ground and trees where just a blur as they speed past the window. Enzo pulled his phone and headphones out of his pocket, it will be an hour flight so he thought he might just listen to some music. It would make the plane ride faster, Enzo hoped.

Enzo was shaken from his slumber by his father, which ticked him off quite a bit.
"Yes?" Enzo asked
"We are here" his dad replied, before walking to the door and down the steps. Enzo reluctantly got up from his seat and grabbed his phone and headphones stuffing into his right pocket as he walked to the door. As he walked down the stairs he was greeted by the smell of petrol and the sound of cars driving by"welcome to Auckland" he muttered to himself

"Enzo go make yourself comfortable in room 207 we will swing past at about 6:30 for dinner, actually until then if you want you can check out the city" Enzo's dad said handing him a $100 dollar note
