"We're almost there!" I said cheerfully. "Hooray." I glared at him. He was still mad. "C'mon Mark it's not that bad!" He grunted and walked ahead of me. Geez. What's his problem? We were on our way to the Sunnyside Hotel where dreams come true. Or that's what it said in the manual. I was so excited! Mark on the other hand was not so excited. "I can't believe you spent my life savings on a stupid vacation." Stupid? STUPID!?!? Sunnyside Hotel is the best hotel in the WORLD. Or that's what it said in the manual. Mark had a map showing the directions in where to go. We've been going around in circles for a while so I asked him where we were and where the map was. "What map?" I knew I couldn't trust him. Now we were lost. I decided to ask around for directions. Almost everyone said go away. RUDE. Finally one man told me where the Sunnyside Hotel was. He gave us a map that said where to go. This time I held the map. When we got there it was the complete opposite of the manual. All of the windows were boarded up and the trees had no leafs. It was as if the trees were clawing at the windows. I shudders. We walked down the gravely path. Up ahead there was a sign. It read "Moonside Hotel where dreams come true." I was pretty sure that this wasn't Sunnyside Hotel so I suggested that we turn around. "I am NOT walking anymore. Don't be a baby." As we got closer, I noticed that there were graves in the ground. I suggested that we turn around again. "No." I became very nervous. "I'm not going in there!" I screamed. I started running back. All of the trees in front of me started moving. The all shifted blocking the pathway. The branches swung around whipping the dirt. Then the earth rumbled. The roots of the trees ripped out of the earth. I screamed looking back to see no one in sight. One of the branches whipped my back and I collapsed to the floor. Another branch wrapped around my leg and flung me into the air. Branches reached out from every direction pulling me. "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. All of the branches let go of me and I fell onto the gravel path. Covered in cuts, bruises and splinters, I got up and called for help and slowly limped down the path. The trees surrounded me. A branch grabbed me by the arm and slammed me onto the ground. I cried in pain and called for help once more before the last branch covered my face suffocating me. I heard loud yelling and scratching sounds. Mark was clawing at the branch trying desperately to free me. I couldn't hold my breath much longer.
When I awoke, I was on the hotel porch. "Ugh... Where am I?" "Hey yer up!" Mark was laughing. We were outside the hotel. I didn't try to leave this time. Mark helped me up. The trees stopped moving. "Let's go inside." He said. He opens the door with a loud creak. Dust blew at my face. Inside was one light flickering over the front desk. There was a man standing behind the table. We took a few more steps to get closer look at this person. He wasn't breathing. I stopped walking. Mark kept going. "Hey Tiff look!" I didn't dare look so he brought it to me. A skull. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"
"Don't be a baby. Its probably just fake." He reached out for the keys in the skeletons hand. "Hmm... Electricity room Key... Hey Tiff take these keys and go turn on the power." WHAT! I can't believe what he just asked me. "IN THE BASEMENT!?!?!" "Yes in the basement. NOW GO. I'm going to look for a room. I'm sure there's a key somewhere."
And just like that he took off into the darkness with the flash light. I stood there for a while shocked that he just left. I heard foot steps. I thought maybe he changed his mind. The door behind me locked. I turned around and pulled on the knob. The footsteps grew louder and louder. A figure appeared in front of me holding a knife. It had a white mask that lit up the darkness. It lunged towards me. I screamed and ran out of the way. The blade smashed into the door. Wood chips flying. I stumbled over to the desk only to find that the there were bugs crawling all over it. Then the skeleton moved. Scaring all the bugs. They crawled under the door fleeing. It slowly raised from the desk moaning. I called for Mark but there was no answer. All of a sudden a knife swung slashing my shoulder. I screamed and fell to the ground. I forgot about the creature with the mask. The skeleton lunged at the creature screaming at a high pitch frequency you can't imagine. I got up and ran into the pitch black darkness. My eyes adjusted to the lighting and I found my self at a door labeled "Electrical Room."
