I'm running fast but my head is spinning my legs are aching and those machine guns are hurting my ears. How can the Germans hate us that much! Okay I admit it I stole a loaf of bread form the bakery. But that's not the point. Why would they want to kill us that much. I can't really think about it at this precious moment I'm trying to run for my life here. I think about possible escape routes. To the left of me is a forest full of trees and bushes where I can hide to the right is the town, where the Germans are based... Ill go left.

Right now I'm leaning up against a tree panting. I should of gone to that Jewish keep fit class that my mum  told me  about.  All  i can  hear is screaming I look around startled scared I was all alone. Suddenly I hear a voice a soothing voice much like my mums.

"mum is that you? where are you?" I called but there was no answer.

"are you still alive, did they let you go did you escape" again no answer.

There's no other explanation for this except that its all in my head.

That's all I've got of my mum now.. memories. One day Christmas eve in fact, my mum was putting me to bed telling me a story about a little girl who lived in Candy Land with no violence nothing bad whatsoever. Then there was a knock at the door. Mum told me to stay in bed while she goes down to see who it was she told me not to make a sound I waited and waited but she never came back...

Slowly I felt myself drifting of to sleep dreaming about the good days I shared with my mum. The times we had picnics in the park the time where we went down to the coast. They were all so perfect and so magical.

I only had really 4 hours of sleep before I woke up. No something has woken me up. The sound of the trees moving in the wind. No. The sound of birds telling me that is morning. No. Something more worse then that. Nazis.
