I was in a standing in a dark room with wind blowing all over my face. I blinked to get a better view and saw an old lady sitting on an old rusty rocking chair. She spoke in the creepiest voice I had ever heard "I can tell a little about what you are looking for". I started sweating with fear and heaving heavily.

I woke up with a jolt. It was the most annoying dream I ever had and I could have never forgotten it.
I found my book clutched in my hands." How did it even get there?" was all I could think. I started reading the book but the dream always diverted my mind.
The next day, I went to a brunch club and ordered for some hot soup with the special brunch of the day. I picked up the newspaper just to see the headlines " Dead Souls Captured On Camera". I read further.

Yesterday midnight, officer Zeal Silvestia spotted two ghosts dressed in white in the locked mansion behind the Golden Hills building.

"Golden Hills building?" I thought to myself. " That's where Kiara lives!"

I picked up my phone and dialed her number.
"Hello?"
"Hi Kiara, this is Adriana. Did you read today's newspaper?"
"I don't think I need to read today's newspaper."
"The most shocking truth of your life is written there!! There are ghosts living just behind your bungalow."
"Do you know more about what's behind my bungalow than me? Just shut up."
"We will see right today if there are any ghosts or not. I will be there in five minutes."
"Dare you even come here. Just stay away from me."
...Call Ended...

"What's happened to my best friend??!!" I wondered.

I quickly had my lunch and drove as fast as I could to Kiara's bungalow.

The chilly air and rustling leaves greeted me. I kept wondering why the atmosphere was so chilly in the mid noon. I quietly crept past the bungalow wishing that Kiara should not notice me here. I eyed someone peeping through a window on the upper floor of the bungalow. But the face vanished before I could recognize it. Just as I reached the backyard, my phone rung.
KIARA.
I dismissed the call and put my phone on silent. I could feel my phone vibrating in my pocket but I paid no heed. I continued searching for ghosts in her backyard. I had made up my mind of capturing them on my camera today. Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning behind I saw a worried expression on Kiara's face. Before I could ask anything, Kiara started speaking that also so fast that I had difficulty in understanding her words.
"Adriana, are you crazy? I told you not to come here right? What has happened to you? I was calling you for so long and you didn't even bother to answer it? Now, listen to me. You might not remember but our old friend has come to meet us. The thing is that she has to leave in half an hour, so we have pretty less time and we ought to hurry."
Saying so, she dragged me by my hand to the main entrance of the bungalow. There, I saw a girl who had freckles all over her face and looked nerdy. I obviously didn't remember her because I never had any nerdy friends in my life.
She introduced herself as Myra Banks.
We spent the rest of the time chatting about pets and all, but I was busy thinking about who this girl was. She didn't even give a brief description of her so that I could remember who she was.
After half an hour, Myra left after giving me and Kiara a friendly hug.
On my way home, I kept chanting her name to remember.

Immersed in my own thoughts I didn't realize that I had driven further from my home. I had to be home by 5 as I had to complete my assignments.
Tomorrow was school! The thought of school made me feel worse.
I reached home and completed my assignments by dinner time.
