Chapter 2: Why Can’t I Be Normal?!
I wake up and walk over to my window I open up my curtains and look out the window It’s a beautiful Saturday morning.
“WAIT WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT I TURNED INTO A CAT YESTERDAY!!” I shout I run over to my mirror and look at myself. “Huh? No cat ears!” I shout jumping up and down “It must have been a dream” I tell myself and sigh.
“Ino honey Get ready for school!” My mum shouts. WAIT WHAT ITS SATURDAY! I start to panic and look back in the mirror and my cat ears where there.
“AHHH!” I scream.
“Ino dear are you okay?” My mum walks in my room and I put my hands over my head.
“Uh mu Its Saturday today I don’t have school” I tell her.
“Oh sorry dear I forgot it was Saturday silly me” She laughs and scratches the back of her head.
“Mum uh what time is It?” I ask her I look in the mirror again but this time I see my tail wagging around and the bell I had attached starts to jingle.
“AHH” I let out a small scream and y mum looks at me I grab my blanket and wrap it around me.
“Ino Darling what are you doing?” Mum looks at me with a worried look “are you okay?” she asks me.
“Yeah I’m fine I-I was umm Just cold” I let out a stupid nervous laugh.
“Okay I will let you get ready we need to go out shopping today” I nod and she walks out. I sigh ad my ears and tail disappears. I walk over to my wardrobe and open it I look around for decant clothes I grab my White shirt and my black dress I start to get changed I take off my Pyjamas When I relise that my window was wide open, when I never left it open.
“un Hey” Says a familiar boys voice.
“AH” I scream and grab my chair which was in my room and throw it at whoever it was I look closely and notice that it was Jason. “YOU PERVE!!” I scream and grab my house-coat and quickly put it on.
“Honey who is a Perve?” My mum shouts up.
“Uh no one um it was just a bird who um was-was WATCHING ME WHILE I WAS GETTING DRESSED!” I shout. My mum doesn’t answer. “What do you want?” I whisper.
“I need to talk to you about yesterday”
“I don’t want to talk about yesterday. All I want is to be normal again” I say.
“I’m Sorry but your life will never be normal again Ino”
“Why, Why can’t it be?” Why do I need to be a freak!” I question.
“Ino you are not a freak you are special” He tries to tell me.
“Well I certainly don’t feel normal” I say turning away from him and crossing my arms across my chest.
“Listen Ino I need to tell you some things. You are gonna need to keep on fighting monsters, when you get excited, scared or embarrassed your ears and tail may appear…And that you are gonna have to work In my Café, Café Instinct and that you need to find the other Animal At Heart girls each of you girls have a strange mark on your bodies”
“ I don’t have a strange” I start to search my body I lift my house-Coat up a bit and see a cat shaped ”MARK! What is wrong with me and No way am I working in your freak show” I say annoyed.
“I’m sorry but you don’t have a choice”
“Fine but not today my mum wants me to go out shopping with her” He nods and jumps out the window. “WHAT!” I shout and run over to the window and look out but he’s already gone. I start to put on my clothes. When I am done I walk into the Bathroom and brush my teath. I then walk down stairs “I’m ready to go mum” I say while walking over to the door I put on my black glittery High-Tops. And my mum walks out of the living room and we both walk out the door.
