Dear Background Noise,
Thank you.
You make it possible to be alone without feeling alone.
You can be anything.
The sweet whistle of the cold autumns wind.
The quite murmur of an old American sitcom.
Voices in the distance.
Music with words that make me feel whole.A happiness that can only come from being alone, but not so alone that you can't feel.
Background Noise, you have made it possible to be unafraid of the unknown.
With you, I am not scared of what's in the dark, or what's behind the door.
I am fearless.
All thanks to you.
From,
The Short Girl
