Chapter 3
Kaycee's P.O.V
I slammed the door when I got to my crappy apartment. I lived with my mom and she was always out of town or out late; which didn't bother me, I liked to be alone. My parents divorced a long time ago, like when I was in kindergarten, and I haven't seen my dad much since.
I decided a nice wolf run will help me not think about Tyler. I stripped naked, then took the clothes I was wearing and tied them around my ankle. I closed my eyes and thought about my wolf; my pure white fur except for my black paws, black ears, and my black tipped tail. When I opened my eyes I was a wild animal on all fours, tada.
I jumped through the window from the second story and landed gracefully. I trotted through the small town until I reached the forest. Then I began to sprint, gallop, leap, and howl, basically I did whatever I felt like.
I had ignored the part of my mind that contained Tyler's thoughts ever since we mated, now my wolf wanted to check on my "other half." So I got comfy on the forest floor and concentrated on Tyler, his honey colored eyes, his boyish smile, his cocky, light- hearted voice his-- He was sitting in a room, but all I could see was his cell phone screen. He was calling his Beta (second in command), Derek.
"Hello?" Derek asked with a yawn.
"Can you come over? I need to talk with someone" Tyler said, rushing the words.
Derek was snapped out of his grogginess, "Yeah I'll be right over, bye."
Tyler got up and went to the bathroom, he started to unzip his pants and I was chanting, "Oh my God, don't look down, please please don't look down, come on hurry up, don't look at it."
He finally finished but not before glancing at his man part, "Ewww" I practically mind screamed.
"Kaycee, are you in my head?" He sounded amused.
"Unfortunatly, yes. You can hear me?"
"You screeched in my head, it was hard not to. You like what you see?" He questioned suggestively.
"The toliet? Yeah it looked real fancy." I replied, playing näive.
"Seriously Kaycee, we need to talk about this whole mate thing."
"No we don't because it's not happening." And with that I reentered my own body, still in wolf form.
I turned back into my human body and got dressed. I decided since it was already four in the morning, I should get to bed. I really hope I don't dream.
Tyler"s P.O.V
Derek arrived soon after Kaycee left my mind. We were lounging in my living room for fifteen minutes before I started talking.
"So I've found my mate." I said in exaggerated monotone.
"That's great!" He exclaimmed, "Who is it?"
"Kaycee" a said with sarcastic enthusiasum.
"Ohh, how did she take it?"
"She didn't." He gave me a confused look, "She said she isn't gonna be my mate."
"Well she doesn't really have a choice." He said with a laugh.
"But I want her to like me not because she has to." I said on the verge of tears.
"Well," Derek said getting serious, "make her like you."
