Chapter Nine.

I came back home only to see the sight of Geoffrey sleeping on the couch. I tiptoed quietly to my room so I didn't wake him.

"Ava?" Geoffrey said sleepily. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. Guess I didn't tiptoe quiet enough.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay...I'm sorry too."

"Yeah." Geoffrey sat upright. "So where were you?"

"Um...at my uh boyfriends..."

Geoffrey smiled. "Ooh, so Ava's got a secret boyfriend now? How scandalous." He laughed.

"Oh hush."

"So," Geoffrey said opening his arms for a hug, "Am I forgiven?"

I hugged him. "Of course you are...as long as I am."

"Well you are."

We stayed like that until my phone rang. I checked it to see the call was from Mikey.

"Aw, do you have to take it?", Geoffrey sighed.

"Yeah, sorry." I said taking the call. "Hello?"

"Yeah, babe did you make it home safe?"

"Yeah..."

"Okay, just checking. Do you think you can come over again later?"

"Uh...yeah, sure."

Geoffrey was giggling like a little girl even though he was trying to stifle his laughter. "Ava tiene un novio...", he sang playfully. I shot him daggers.

"Okay, great. Well I gotta go...see you later. I love you."

"Love you too." I said wanting to gag. "Bye."

"Bye." Mikey said before hanging up the phone.

All the laughter Geoffrey had been trying to keep in during the call was suddenly released. He started mocking me. "Love you too..." He said in a overly girly voice.

"Oh god. Shut up. I don't even sound like that."

He fell in the couch, dying of laughter. It was contagious. I couldn't help but laugh too.

After the laughter died down Geoffrey asked me. "So when do I get to meet this guy."

I couldn't tell him it was Mikey. "Um I dunno...we just started going out..."

"Oh, I understand. Do your parents know about him?"

I shook my head. "Of course they don't. Remember the agreement?"

"Oh yeah sorry."

"It's cool"

A couple minutes passed and then at the same time we both decided to ask each other a question.

"Hey, Ava?"

"Hey, Geoffrey?"

"Oh, I'm sorry...is what you had to say important?" I asked Geoffrey.

"Nah, not so much important...more shocking."

"How bout we tell each other at the same time?"

Geoffrey shrugged. "Sounds good."

"Okay.

"How would you feel if I got back with Mikey?"

"How would you feel if I got back with Summer?"
