Cas's pov: I slip out of bed, 6:00 am, too early for the day I have ahead. I look down at the at Dean who was still asleep in our bed, the light grey sheets wrapped around him. Our bed. After a year and a half of marriage it still sounded new. Granted, every time that man enters a room my heart skips a beat, so I don't know what I was expecting.
I padded over over to the closet on our dark chocolate coloured hard wood floors, my feet making a sticky sound as I walk. I attempted to open our closet quietly, and failed miserably. The stupid metal doors let out a loud miserable groan. I inhaled sharply hoping I didn't awake Dean, I wanted him to sleep, even if I couldn't. I continued to find my clothes, sifting through hangers silently. Dean always teased me for dressing to formal for my job as an eighth grade teacher. I know he's joking, but everything he says matters to me, so some days I try to tone it down. I took a light blue casual dress shirt Dean had bought for me the day before as a gift to prepare me for the start of the school year, off the hanger. When Dean had brought the shirt home yesterday he made it seem like something grand.
"I have a surprise for you," he had said with a goofy grin on his face.
I could tell from the bag what it was, but I acted surprised anyways. I took bag from from him and pulled out the shirt.
"It's lovely," I had said.
"I'm glad you liked it," he had replied. "It took me hours to find it. I wanted one the same shade as your eyes."
My heart filled with warmth.
"It's perfect," I said, although it came out as barley a whisper.
He constantly took my breath away, with his knack for small details that is identical to mine.
A pair of arms wrapped me in a hug, jolting me out of the memory.
"Guess who," a voice said.
"Oprah, it's definitely Oprah this time," I replied a smile creeping onto my face.
"Well, sorry to disappoint Cas, but it's just me. The wish factory was fresh out of famous millionaires this morning."
I turned around to face him, and met his eyes with mine.
"You are worth way more then a famous millionaire in my eyes." He smirked that smirk that had caught my attention the first time we met.
"Smooth," he mumbled.
"Go back to bed, it's only 6:00 am."
"What if I don't want to," he retorted.
"Then I'll make you."
"You know," he said, his voice high. "On second thought, I am tired"
"That's what I thought," I said with my back to him.
I continued to get ready, and was sure not to wake Dean again. I put on a pair of jeans, a navy tie and a black blazer to pull it all together. I grabbed my briefcase off the bed room floor and made sure my laptop was in it. I was ready to go.
"Bye Dean," I whispered. "Good luck with your new video today."
I got no reply, except for the steady sound of his breathing as he continued to sleep. I walked out the door ready to start the day, but not before grabbing my trench coat off the coat rack as I left my house.I looked at the clock in my crappy old car, I was almost late. As I backed out of our drive way I glanced up at Deans shiny black Impala sitting in our drive way. Just another thing to add to the list of things I love about that boy, his awesome taste in cars. I had twenty minutes before school started, and the drive was ten. I started my journey towards the school, a new school year, and a new class.
"Okay, time to start a new school year," I say out loud to myself. "But not without coffee," I finish as I pull into a Starbucks parking lot.Dean's pov:
My heart sinks every time Cas leaves for work. I know he loves his job, but I love him, and it's hard when he's not here. I work from home as a youtuber, so I constantly have the house to my self. I pull out my lap top, and enter my password. C-a-s-M-y-A-n-g-e-l I type, cheesy password, I know, but I love it. I check my new comments and mail, with 9 million subscribers you get a lot of mail, most of it positive, but some nasty hate as well. The hate never brings me down though, it's part of the career I've chosen. Plus I someone who I know will love me no matter what, and that's all I need. I set my laptop on my desk and pull out my camera and tripod. I set up the angle to catch a good shot of my jaw line in every frame. I take in a deep breath and hit record.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I say into the camera.Authors note: Hi guys! This is my second fanfic, and I'm stoked to be writing it!
