Oh man I really messed it up this time. Honestly I never did think that Emma and I were too serious. She's probably pissed at me right now. But I do owe her an explanation. Right? Where the heck is she? I've looked everywhere.
I had just pushed Courtney off of my lap and quickly ran down the hall. Emma had gotten quite the head start. I guess I had frozen in shock for a minute there. I feel kind of guilty even though I've cheated on all of my girlfriend's. I know that's not something to flaunt and be proud of but it's the truth.
Emma was different though we weren't anything special but in a way we were. I don't understand why I feel guilty about what I just did. Honestly I feel bad in a way. This isn't the first time I've done this though. I'm so confused right now.
I did a quick look through the house one more time. As I was passing the bathroom, the door swung open and Emma came out. She had mascara streaks smeared down her face and she was crying as she ran to the front door.
I chased after her, hoping I could catch up with her. The front door slammed in my face as I ran after Emma. I quickly opened it and sprinted down to where Emma was. She was about to get in her car to drive away but I knew she had been drinking.
It wouldn't be safe for her to drive. I'd already hurt her enough so I ran up beside her and grabbed her arm. She yanked her arm out of my grip. I pleaded "Emma, Emma I'm so sorry. Its not the first time and you know that, but I feel terrible. Please let me drive you home."
Emma turned around, met my eyes with a glance, and quickly turned back around and continued to walk to her car. I ran up in front of her and tried to stop her by putting my hands on her shoulders. I could see the rage in her eyes. I quickly took my hands off of her shoulders. I knew I had made a mistake by stopping her, but I realized it a little too late.
Emma pulled her fist back and within a few seconds I felt it connect with my face. My nose hurt like hell, but I guess I did deserve it. I put my hand up to my nose to protect it from this intoxicated, unpredictable, teenage girl. I begged with her to let me drive her home. But this time I made sure to stand back as we conversed.
Emma was enraged and I could see it. I've never seen her this mad. Knowing it was my fault just made it all even worse. I should just leave her alone to calm down. Except for the fact that she does not need to drive herself home.
Emma had her car keys dangling out of her hand by her side. I grabbed the keys and ran to her car. I unlocked it and quickly revved the engine on. I drove down the road. I made a U-turn in the couldesac. As I made my back by Miley's house I saw Emma sitting on the edge of the walkway.
She saw the car and slowly got up and walked to the it. I started driving at like 3 mph. Emma walked beside the car, shooting daggers at me with her eyes. She tried to open the door, but I had already locked them. She was not going to drive home intoxicated.
I rolled down the window about two inches so she could hear what I had to say. I told her that I was going to drive her home or she was going to need another ride home. I hadn't drunk anything so I was ok to drive.
Emma turned sharply towards the car and said "Daniel, you little bastard. There is no way I am riding home in that car with you. I'm not going anywhere near you ever again. And save me your lame excuses. I'm not going to accept your apologies. I'm done with putting up with you and your shit!"
I watched Emma walk down the street on the way to her house. I could faintly hear her high heeled boots clicking down the pavement. I drove behind her to make sure she made it home safe. Her house was a few blocks away.
I followed close behind Emma. She knew I was behind her but she didn't acknowledge me. I understand why she didnt... I guess. I don't understand why I'm so torn up about this. She crossed the street at the crosswalk. I got stuck on a red light.
Emma turned and the trees blocked her from my view. I couldn't see her any more. The red light lasted almost forever it felt like. After about 5 minutes or so I turned on my way to her house. I made a left on Misch Court and took a right onto Ibis Lane. I couldn't see Emma anywhere. I drove her car home and parked it. Hoping that she had run ahead and ran inside already.
I turned and walked to my house. It was about two blocks away from Emma's house. It took me a good twenty minutes to get home. The walk helped me to clear my head. I got to the crosswalk and hit the button. I waited for the light to change from a red hand to the picture of a walking person illuminated in white.
After a red light or two the walking person popped up on the light. I crossed the street and about halfway across a van zoomed out of nowhere. It sped right in front of me, almost running me over. As soon as it passed I ran to the other side of the street.
I got to my house and looked at my set of keys. I tried the key on my ring but it wouldn't unlock the front door. I looked under the welcome mat and there wasn't a key there either. I gave up on keys. I walked over to the hanging piece attached to the garage for the plants to grow up and started climbing it.
I climbed to the second story of my house and walked over to my window. I popped the screen out and climbed into my room. I threw off my jacket and set my keys on my desk already littered with paper. Then I crashed on my bed and felt my eyelids grow heavy.
