VIOLET FLASHBACK (5th grade)

*Walks through all white doors and looks at hands*

"IT WONT STOP BLEEDING PLEASE HELP PLEASE ANYONE!!"

My mom was screaming at the top of her lungs in the middle of the ER. She had caught me cutting as I did every night. When she walked in it scared me and I cut too hard on my wrist. There was blood everywhere. I can't even imagine what my mom was thinking at the moment.

We got a cloth and ran to the car. She wrapped the towel around my wrist, but the towel was getting damper and damper by the second. By the time we got to the hospital there wasn't any white left on the piece of cloth. Just red.

------

Once everything had settled down, my mom put me into Riverside Hospital for the Mentally Impaired. I was there for maybe two days before she switched me to The Ranch. It was really nice, it had swimming pools, tennis courts, and more. I got better there and one of my favorite things to do was people watch at my 3 social hours. There was always this one girl who sat on the couch and she would quietly sing this one song to herself, but I could always hear her. It had to do something with "darling don't be so shy."

------

FLASHBACK OVER

"Stop." I said without even thinking about what was going on.

"Darling don't be so shy." I sang motionless, just starting at her.

"I'll see you at midnight when I close my eyes." she sat up.

That's when I knew she was the girl from rehab..
