Chapter One - Meeting My Parents

Today John was coming over for dinner. I was in the process of picking out the right dress and heels and fixing my makeup. When I realized I only had 20 minutes to finish so I hurried and just when I finished putting my last heel on I heard my father call for me

"Emily he's here" my father yelled up the stairs. I was so nervous I mean it is the first time he's meeting my parents I was so happy he was actually here.

"be down in a few minutes father" I replied surprisingly even though I was super happy he was here I had a nervous feeling in my stomach. I really wanted this to go well we've been dating for almost a year and its really important my parents love him are I would never have a chance of getting married to him.

I walked down the stairs slowly trying not to make a loud noise when my heels hit each step. As I was almost near the bottom I heard my father and john laughing then they looked up an just stared at me.

At that moment I know they were both thinking of how beautiful I am. "Wow Emily my darling you look so beautiful tonight." John said. And all I could say was "same to you my love" as I sent him a really big smile. "My precious Emily you look great my dear." My father said "agreed" said my mother.

I felt like I was on top of the world at that moment. "Well the cook said dinner won't be done for at least 20 minutes" my father said. "Maybe we can use this time to get to know john more." My mother said as she smiled at my father "ah yes we shall" my father agreed.

"So john" my father said as we was walking towards the dinning hall. "Emily talks about you so much its nice to finally meet you" my father said giggling but not in a bad way just a happy excited way. "I'm glad she talks about me sir and I'm really glad y'all offered to have me over for dinner its really nice of y'all." John said at that moment he put his arm around me.

I was a little nervous of what my father was going to say but I really wanted to just lean over and kiss john right then and there. "No its are pleasure to have you over" my father said being nice because he knew how much this meant to me I sent him a little smile that said thanks father. "Well go on and kiss already we know y'all want to. We used to be the same age as you two are now. My mother said and my father nodded to agree

John turned me around and looked me in the eyes all I could do was stare into his gorgeous blue eyes. He put his hands on my waist and leaned close. I leaned a little closer to. When are lips touch I just let him take control over the kiss.

We finally got seated and the food began to come out of the kitchen. Through the whole meal all we did was talk about john and his parents and where he was from and all that good stuff.

After the meal we walked toward the door to find it storming really bad out. So my father being the nicest he could be said "well john call me crazy but I'm not letting you go home in that you should probably stay if its okay with your parents and there's extra clothes your size in the closet" "thanks so much Mr.ward your a great man emily is lucky to have such a great father" john said staring at me. I smiled and agreed by nodding my head. "You and emily will just have to share her room tonight" my father said smiling and walking to his room. "Goodnight kids" my father said and we both answered "goodnight" I smiled and looked at John.
