Lebanon, Kansas.
"Dean!" Sam's voice echoed through the walls of the bunker "Where you messing with my room again?!"
Sam walked through the hallway, there was a muffled voiced coming out of the spare room they've given to Cas. Sam knocked the door, but there was no response. Screw this, he thought. He opened the door to find the angel lying on his bed, he didn't turn to look at Sam.
"Cas?", Sam walked in, "Have you seen Dean?"
"Hmmm?", Cas acknowledged his presence without taking his eyes of the screen of the tv, "I think he said he was running low on hunter's helper.... I realize now that he probably meant alcohol"
"Great", Sam huffed as he turned his eye to the screen, "Really, Cas?"
"What?"
"Doctor who?", he raised his eyebrows, "Doesn't that goes against all of the angelic stuff and magic? You know, things like that"
"I believe, Sam, that this is a work of fiction", Cas frowned, "I'm positive that at your age, you know that not everything on television is real"
"Right" Sam resisted the urged to roll his eyes. He looked at their angel, his trench coat was hanging in the closet, the black jacket folded neatly on the table. Cas lay there on his white buttoned shirt, and even his shoes were gone, leaving behind just a pair of black socks covering his feet. He was practically naked. Sam had never seen him like this, so relaxed. "How you doing?"
"I'm fine", he sighed, "I've been telling you that for the past few days"
"I know", Sam nodded, "Just humor us, okay? It's all quiet out there, if anything happens we'll let you know. But you got to be ready, so... rest"
Castiel sighed loudly. He felt useless, but he trusted the Winchesters, he could stay home for a few more days if that pleased them. It wasn't like he was the only one slacking off anyways, with the demon tablet back in their possession there was nothing more to do than to wait for the Darkness to make a move. Besides, he still needed to know what was going to happen to Rose, he had a bad feeling about her.
"Okay" he nodded "I'll just stay here and, and do more of this", he pointed at the tv screen.
"Great", Sam headed out, "I'll go check if Dean's in the kitchen already"
Dean walked inside the bunker with a paper bag on one hand and a newspaper on the other. His boots echoed through the openness of the main room as he made his way to the kitchen, it didn't surprise him to see his little brother waiting for him, Sam could be such a mother hen sometimes.
"You miss me?" He scoffed "Couldn't be gone for more than 30 minutes Sam", he started placing the beer in the cabinet, "You're so clingy".
"Shut up", Sam rolled his eyes, "I found this by the way", Sam threw a little nail on the table, "Putting this on my chair, really Dean? What are you, five?"
A smile started spreading on his face, "Did you sit on it?"
"No", Sam's answered quickly, perhaps too quickly. Dean shook with laughter, which won him his brother's famous bitchface, "Not funny"
"Oh, it is funny", Dean wiped an invisible tear
"So what's with the beer? We've got plenty"
"Yeah, but Cas there needs a gallon of alcohol to get tipsy", he pointed toward the direction of the bedrooms, "Now that he's staying here he's all booze and Netflix. I think we're a bad influence"
"You think?", Sam half smiled
"Oh, and I found this" He tossed the newspaper to his brother
Sam read the headline carefully. His brow furrowed when he caught what his brother must have seen on it. Amara? He looked at his brother, Dean just shrugged as he opened a cold beer.
