Tavros x Reader: Wings

His wheelchair inched forward as he slowly willed his arms to turn the wheels. Just a little more. Just a few more yards and he'd be there.

Your hive. The one place he didn't feel alone. The one place he felt comfortable.

The one place he felt loved.

He blushed deeply at the thought, his mind racing for an excuse to be here other than confessing his red feelings for you. His original intent for this journey was to do just that, however he had had time to think over that plan and... well... to put it frankly, he had chickened out. You were perfect. What if he messed up? What if you didn't feel the same way for him? Was it worth risking your moirailship?

He sighed. He would have to confess, one day. But that day was not today.

The world was too big. And Tavros, in his small wheelchair, just wasn't ready to confront it. Perhaps there was a time when he was, but after losing the use of his legs, the world just seemed to grow. It seemed a bit more foreboding now, a bit more unforgiving and cruel. But you helped him. You found him drowning in loneliness and you rescued him. Sure, there were times where he still felt alone, but you were always there for him.

So perfect and brave, so kind and gentle.

He sighed, finding himself in front of your hive. Taking a deep breath, he reached an arm out, gently rapping upon the entrance. It only took a few seconds for it to swing open to reveal the troll he felt so flushed for. She smiled at him, stepping aside and gesturing for him to enter her humble abode.

Yes, the world was big. But with (y/n) there, it seemed a bit less cruel. A bit more beautiful. He was not confined to his wheelchair when she was around. With her, he could soar on unteathered wings, into a beautiful horizon.
