Ricky's POV:

As I sit down to drink my ice tea and sandwich, I see a beautiful girl, with long curly brown hair and fierce brown eyes walk in. She's wearing her cute smile and outfit, it's her.

I smile to myself as I watch her order.

Woah.

What's wrong with me? I'm actually liking a girl! Like not so I can bang her later! I actually like her for her. Wow. That's pretty cool. I'm feeling pretty great.

I watch as she awkwardly looks around and sits down across from me, not noticing me. She turns around and smiles.

"Ricky!" She laughs.

Gosh, her face, her smile, she voice. She's so gorgeous. I stare at her with a dorky smile till I realize that she's there.

She giggles a little and starts to sip on her frappe.

"We need to stop meeting at restaurants." I chuckle.

"Nah, I think it's pretty great!" She laughs and grabs my hand on the table. My heart immediately flutters, I've only know her for a day, and this is her affect.

"Yeah, so what brought you here?" I ask.

"Oh ya know, I always get Starbucks!" She says.

"So your in 12th grade?"

"No, 11th..."

Oh crap, she's a year younger. My reputation is already bad as it is, if I date her... Oh no.

"Oh..." I whisper.

"It's ok!" She smiles.

We sip on our drinks and talk about things we love and our aspirations. I've never been able to talk to such an intelligent human and actually enjoy the conversation. As she mentions her plans to move to Austin and attend A&M, I realize I have a scholarship to UCLA. Suddenly, my thoughts are interrupted.

"So, where do you wanna go?" She asks.

"Uh. I got a scholarship, fully paid to UCLA." I croak.

"Oh! That's amazing!"

"It's for my basketball!"

"You know, people say you're dumb, but actually, you're not."

She's such a wonderful being. Her chocolate eyes and long eyelashes flash at me while her long brown hair gives me shiver at its beauty and her smile. Her smile. I could look at it for endless hours.

"What are your plans?" She asks me.

"You." I blurt.

Her face goes red immediately and you can tell she is embarrassed. I stutter and try to say sorry and awkwardly walk out. I go into my truck turn it on and drive.

What has gotten into me?
Am I in love?
I can't be.
No.
I am.
Crap.
I turn on my phone to text her.

Im so sorry for that, I just... Idk can we talk later? I text her.

As I wait for a reply, I decide to go home.

My phone buzzes but it's not Maddy, it's Mom.

Hey, you coming home? it reads.

Yeah I reply and head home.
