Everyone met in a huge, expensive office with expensive equipment.
"Thank God," Tej told them. "Finally some equipment I can work with."
Roman and Han did a handshake.
"What up, boy?" Roman asked.
Han smiled.
"Way better than that trash in Rio," Tej told them.
Giselle, Brian and Jo were experimenting with the high-grade weapons.
"Way better," Giselle agreed.
The elevator doors opened to reveal Hobbs and his partner Riley Hicks. They walked in.
"You sure about these guys?" Riley asked.
"Nope," Hobbs answered.
"I thought Rio was our last job," Roman told them. "Who's paying for all this equipment? Tax payers? Now we work for the Hulk? Is that what we're doing?" He didn't realize that Hobbs and Riley were walking closer from behind him. The others did. "Why do I smell baby oil?"
"You keep running your pie hole, you're gonna smell an ass kicking," Hobbs told him.
Dom smirked. "Okay, Hobbs, you got the best crew in the world standing right in front of you. Give them a reason to stay."
"Our target's Owen Shaw," Hobbs told them, dropping a file onto the table between all of them. "Former agent in the SAS. Black ops soldier. He led Britan's mobile device in Cabo and Bosnia."
"That mobility unit's the truth," Jo told them. "We're talking vehicular warfare. Best in the world."
Roman leaned closer to Han to whisper. "You got anymore chips?"
Han showed Roman his empty bag.
"For years, they've been running jobs in Europe," Hobbs told them. "I think they're most recent jobs have graduated them to a whole new level. Three targets, highly specific. The program terminal from an ICB missile..."
Roman leaned closer to Tej to whisper. "You got some change?"
"Seriously?" Tej asked. "You're a millionaire, and you're still trying to ask for money?"
Tej held change toward Roman.
Roman took it. "That's how you stay a millionaire."
Roman walked toward the food machine.
"So, what's this all mean?" Brian asked.
"Well, my best guess is that Shaw's crew is building a nightshade device," Jo told them.
"Which is?" Giselle asked.
"A tech bomb," Riley answered. "Designed to black out an entire military communication grid for 24 hours."
"Blind a soldier for a single second in the middle of a fight and he dies," Hobbs told them. "You blind a country for 24 hours, loss of life is unthinkable. This could be worth billions to the right buyer."
"Billions?" Tej repeated. "Why don't we just steal that shit?"
Roman was still trying to get food from the machine. "Hey, man, which one of these things is a dollar?" Tej rolled his eyes. "You said something about--"
Jo drew his gun, shooting out the glass in the machine, making it shatter. "It's on the house."
Anna smirked.
Roman started to take food out of the broken machine.
"I want you to help me catch Shaw," Hobbs told them. "He's only got one piece left that he needs and I intend to stop him before he gets it. Now, I know you guys are a family. So I'm offering you a chance right now to give Shaw what he has coming to him because he hurt one of your members and to make your family whole again."
