When I first walked into my dorm, something looked off. Their were three beds not two. Well, what ever, the more roommates the better!
One of the beds were already made, so I chose the one closest to the window. I was hoping that my roommates were like me, organized, smart, or at least weren't party animals. But people don't always get what they wish for. That night. My first night at college, my two new roommates, Emily and Anna, threw a huge party. And the worst part, alcohol was involved!
The party was no fun. A bunch of people were drunk, the music was too loud, and I didn't know anyone there. The entire time I was just standing in the corner. I mean, their was nothing else to do!
At one point, this extremely attractive guy comes up to me. The thing that stands out the most is his sandy blonde hair and his bright blue eyes. But, I wasn't really interested, he was probably drunk too.
"Hi."
"Hello." Oh my god I am so awkward around guys.
"I'm Jasper."
"Grace."
"That's a really beautiful name, Grace."
"Thank you." My cheeks turn bright red, and I hope he doesn't see.
"Can I get you a drink?"
"I don't drink alcohol."
He laughs, "I never said it had to be alcoholic..."
WHY AM I SO STUPID AROUND GUYS!?!?!?
"Oh, uh, I guess then." I follow him, but soon get lost in a crowd of people. I look all around the room, down the hallway, and in the other dorms that the party is taking place in. And I lost him.
Really Grace, the one possible chance you have with a hot guy and you just lose him!?
I gave up, I wanted to go to bed, but it was too loud and crazy in my dorm. So I decided to go outside where their are a couple of benches. It was so quiet and peaceful outside, I almost fell asleep.
"There you are!"
I turn around, it's Jasper with two cans of Coca Cola in his hands. He sits down next to me and hands me a Coke. I took a sip and looked up at the stars, already forgetting that he was sitting next to me.
"Why out here and not inside havin fun at the first college party of the year?" He asks.
"I don't know, it's more.... quiet. And peaceful. And to be honest it kind of reminds me of home. And all my friends, and my grandmother and grandfather. And-" I realize that he is just staring at me. I feel like I have spoken too much, so I shut up and take another sip from my Coca Cola. He just grins. "Sorry." I mumble under my breath so quiet, I can barely hear it. By now the party had died down, and after a couple more minutes of me sounding like a complete dork. I go back up to my dorm.
