It was three in the afternoon, the sun was still hovering over the city of Ikebukuro. Heiwajima Shizuo was his name. The name of a man who was tired of that sun. No, it was not only the sun, it was everything! He had to wake up at about six in the morning to answer a call from Shinra, who started screaming about something he didn't understand. He spent two hours thinking of what his friend was saying, but he couldn't figure it out. The next moment, he was beating up some guys that pissed him off, always trying to find na excuse for the absence of money. At lunch, he realised he had lost his wallet while beating some guy, who probably stole it. He had to eat from Tom's food! Right now, he was beating up a guy, that wasn't even in Tom's list of guys that should pay him, or whatever he calls it. It was just a guy that started running towards him, covered by a dark brown coat with hood, screaming some words he couldn't identify. And that's where he is. Holding the guy by the colar of his shirt, waving him in the air as he asked the same question, over and over again.
"What the hell are you saying?!"
"Shizuo, put him down. Don't you see he can't breathe?" Shizuo noticed how hard the other was fighting to try to breathe, despite his grip on his shirt. He put him down quite roughly, grabbing his hood has the other tried to run away.
"Don't even think about that! Tell me what the fuck you were saying earlier!"
"You're a monster." Shizuo was taken aback by this. He didn't know the guy in front of him. He had blond hair and greyish eyes. He was quite tall, but not enough to reach his height. That word he said. Monster. He had heard lots and lots of times before. So many times he didn't have enough life time to count them all. So why is this hurting this much now?
"And?" He spoke before thinking, something he was used to. He loosened his grip on the younger man before him, but tightened it again and push the other to an alleyway near him. "Who are you, brat?"
"You don't have to know my name. You just have to know I'm a friend of his, and you really messed up this time. I came to see who you are and finally know you, but rage took over me. Don't worry. You'll never see me again, as well you'll never see him again." The blond left the other, running down the street, not looking back at the stunned bodyguard staring at the wall before him.
"Shizuo, what did he want?" Tom asked as he approached the fake blond. The other did nothing to answer his boss instead of keeping his eyes fixed on the wall. "What about you resting a little? You seem tired." The other nodded and walked home.
About five hours later, he found himself lost in Tokyo. He didn't know where he was, but didn't pay it much attention as he kept on walking. He then stopped beside a sign that made obvious his location. He was in Shinjuku.
As he figured out where he was, he immediately remembered of the only person he didn't see that day. He had talked with Shinra, he had seen Celty on her moto, he had seen those teenagers walking together, he had seen Simon in front of Russia Sushi, he had seen kadota and the others, everyone. Everyone but the infamous informant, the so hated Flea.
He lived there, right? What was he doing? He didn't appear in Ikebukuro all day, is he planning something? Lots of questions rushed Shizuo's mind as he tried to figure out why the raven-haired man didn't appear in front of him. Maybe he's finally scared and decided to stay out of Ikebukuro. But then he thought, it was impossible. He couldn't be scared of the only one he really really loves to mess up with. He loves to torture Shizuo's mind, drive him crazy and make him explode his rage on him. He loves seeing the mad side of the bodyguard, see the monster inside him come out every single day. He loves it. So, where the hell was he? Isn't he going to piss him off as always?
He had had enough. Forgetting about his home and his tiredness, Shizuo started running towards what he thought would be the other's house. But he didn't reach it.
