I woke up that morning and had a feeling that something good was gonna happen. I got out of bed and walked over to my closet and picked out my close for the day, I picked out my navy blue dress with the sunflower's on it and put it on.

I went downstairs to see my dad cooking breakfast "good morning sweetheart" he said in his low southern voice " morning dad" I said " would you like some breakfast?" He asked " no I'm good" I replied. I rushed back up stars to brush my teeth and do my hair and makeup, I went to my room and grabbed my book bag and went back down stairs to put my white canvas shoes on, "come on now hurry along don't be late honey" my step mother said "I won't Louise" I said back " okay I love you, and be careful" she said " I love you too and i will"I replied " bye dad" I yelled across the room " bye, have a good day be careful"-"are you sure you don't want a ride" said Louise " I'm fine, and I will, love you guys see you later!" I said as I walked out the door

When I got to school I was greeted by my best friend Sally " Maggie!! I've missed you so much!, also were in the same class!" She said while hugging me "That's amazing Sally, how was your trip?" I asked " it was amazing I got to see my dad and my grandma and grandpa"she said while showing me our home room, " you should come with us next summer!" She said while we walked into our class room " Sally,My family barley has enough for rent how the hell am I supposed to get money for a plane ticket" I said while sitting down in a desk next to Sally "we can have a fundraiser!" She said with excitement in her voice " i guess we can try!" I said while looking at her and laughing.

At lunch we sat down next to our lockers "your dress is really pretty, where did you get it!?" Sally asked" it was my mom's dress" I replied " well she had a good taste in clothes"she said while taking a bite of her sandwich " hey Maggie, do you think you'll ever see your mom? You don't have to answer if you don't want to" She said " I don't think so, I heard she lives in California now with her rich husband, and like hell she will try to contact me, she wants nothing to do with me" I replied " well that's her loss, she's missing out" she said " thank you Sally, you mean the world to me" I said while giving her an awkward hug " you mean the world to me too" she replied.
