"Dad? Hey dad? There you are, wake up! Dad, wake up." Vincent heard someone calling him and he woke up to see Melony. His 11 year old daughter. " "Oh good morning honey." Vincent said as he got off of his bed. "Dad I made breakfast. It's pancakes today!" Melony chimed. He got up and got dressed. When he was done he looked at a picture on his desk. It was his wife. It was five years since the accident happened and his wife died. He hadn't told his kids that. Instead he told her that she left them. He couldn't bear to tell them she was literally gone.

After breakfast Vincent took his kids to school. His only daughter was going to turn twelve in one day. After they were all gone Vincent sighed. "Lavender, if you were here you'd see her be old enough to go to the seventh grade, you'd be so proud. If only. If only I was driving that night. I would have gotten killed instead of you. I'm sorry I wasn't there when you died. I'm sorry." Vincent drove out of the parking lot and drove the 30 minutes, to work.

"Dad I'm home! My school got out early because of a huge fire but hey, no school right?" Melony said unlocking the door to the house. "Dad? Hello? Huh." Melony wondered where he was. "I guess he's not here. Oh well. He must still be at work." She wandered upstairs to see if he was in his room. "Nope. He's not here." She said standing in the crowded room. "I have the whole place to myself!" She quickly looked around. "Dad wouldn't know if I just looked around right?" She started to look among the overfilled boxes and came across a particular box. It read "My Secret Goal.". "Huh? Dad must not keep secrets from the rest of the family. He must know that families must be able to trust each other. Which is why I'll be his secret keeper." She said making her choice and opening the box.

Inside of the box was a whole bunch of pictures. Pictures of kids. Not his kids, other kids. "What's this dad? What are you hiding?" She whispered quietly and kept searching through it. She came to a picture of five kids. "Huh? What is this?" The five kids were circled. There were two boys with top hats. One of the boys had blond hair and the other brown. "Probably brothers." She decided. Then a girl with blonde ponytails and a bib. "She must be only four or five." Melony guessed. A picture of a boy with purple hair came next then a boy with a red bandana. "Cool. They must all be friends. But why did you circle them dad?" She said a little confused but kept searching. After searching for five minutes she found a letter. It read " These little kids keep laughing at me. They say I'm funny looking. It's annoying. So so annoying. They need to shut up. I'll need to shut them up." She finished page one. "Dad? What do you mean by "Shut them up?" She wondered and moved on to the next page.

"Why do they laugh at me. They always run around and try to trip me or bug me. I can't take it anymore. They need to die. It's the only way I'll return to being sane. The only way to calm this demon inside of me. The only way I will be able to live with myself. It's me or them. And I don't plan to die. I will get away with this if I'm careful. Hopefully no one but me sees this, or I'll be in big trouble." The note ended leading on to the next one. "Dad? What are you talking about?

The last page said in exact words, "Those little jerks. They laugh at me. A man who's wife passed away. They make fun of me and mock my warnings. I wish they'd die. I'll make them die. Yes, that's the answer! I'll kill them! It's so very clear now! They need to be killed. I'll put them out of my misery. It's the only way. A couple days after Melony's birthday should fit nicely for me. No one will suspect a thing. They won't see it coming. The kids need to die. They will die." The note ended. "D-dad? W-why? D-do you mean it? Th-they're innocent kids. Why? Why?" Melony cried unaware of would happen next. "Ahhm. Melony? What are you doing?" She looked around to see her father standing in the door frame. "Mel." He started again but stopped dead silent when he saw his secret box opened and Melony holding the letters in her hand. "Melony? Did you read those?" Vincent questioned. "Dad? Why? Why dad? Why do you want to kill those innocent," She didn't get to finish before her dad interupted. "Innocent? Those brats innocent? They mocked me! They pushed me around! They are anything but innocent! Go to your room until you understand that!" He yelled pushing her out of his room into the hall, and slamming the door. And Melony obediently went to her room.

The next morning came and Vincent called out, "Melony? Darling? Wake up! Honey. Happy birthday!" He said as Melony slowly started to wake up. "Dad? I had the craziest dream. You were going to kill children. Five of them, where you work. You know, Freddy Fazbears Diner?" She said sleepily. "Yes honey. I thought of doing that, but that was a long time ago." Vincent lied although his daughter couldn't tell. "Wait what? Dad that was real? But why dad?" She asked confused. Vincent replied back, "Well they weren't very nice kids. They would make work for your old man very distressing. I felt like a slave around them. They would push me and call me names like grape," Melony laughed at that. "Yes, just like that. I couldn't handle the stress anymore so I almost went along with my idea of scraping them off the face of the earth!" He said with a little hatred in his voice. "Any ways darling. Time to get up. It's past 1 in the afternoon. You wouldn't want to miss your birthday party now would you?" He asked, got up off of her bed and walked away down the stairs. "No dad. I wouldn't want to miss it." Melony said sadly and got changed into day clothes and she went down the stairs ready to go to her party.
