Stuck in Fantasy World

Chapter 1

Okay...this is weird. This CANT be happening...right?

Well, that's not entirely true. I mean, A LOT of weirder stuff happens evryday right? Yeah...probably not. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts....

I got out of the water (with slight difficulty) and to my suprise, I was completely dry. You could'nt even tell that I soaked in water.

"Thats.....weird..." I said to myself.

Oh, great...ANOTHER problem just came to my mind: I'm probably gonna have to start talking to myself arent I?

*sigh*

So yeah, I started walking around and stuff. I first came across this sort of flower...but different. It has a lot of similarity to a lolipop. Even though I clearly know its a flower, NOT a lolipop, I still had to fight that HUGE urge not to devour it in whole.

For all we know, that thing could be poison.. 

"EEEEEPPPPP!!!" I heard a screaching noise from the distance. Then, I saw a flock of birds scurry away from where the noise was coming from.

Then suddenly, the earth started to shake. Then, i noticed the weird mushroom trees being knocked down one by one.

What on earth is going on?!

The reason for these slowly came into sight...it was a bunch of....well, I really don't know. Some sorta weird combination of a rhinoceros and a tiger.

"Uhhhh...." I was completely clueless in terms of knowing what to do. I was stunned as It approached me faster and faster.

"Run!!" I heard someone scream from behind. 

Who was that? Well, good enough to shcok me out of my trance. I ran as quick as I could into one of those giant mushrooms I saw earlier.

I held on tight to the tree because the ground was shaking as the rhino-tiger thingys were passing by me.

when it finally became quiet-ish, I decided to go out of my hiding spot. I looked around for the person (or whatever) that told me to run.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

I turned immediately and saw a boy about my age. He had black shaggy hair and a get up kinda like the ones you see in those "man vs wild" shows.

"Hey" he said with a big smile.

"Uh....hi?" I said. He let out a small chuckle.

"You're new here aren't you?" 

"Yeah...pretty much. How did I even get here?" I asked.

"Hmm....well where did you come from?" He asked, as if interested.

"Um, earth?" I said questioningly.

"Well, duh. I meant where were you when you got here?" 

"Oh...well I came out of there" I said as I pointed to the lake I came out of earlier. He looked at it and turned his attention back to me.

"Well it looks like you came from 'the forbidden shrine'. Same way I came in." He said plainly.

"And...? How did this happen? How can I get out of here? And what's the forbidden shrine?!" I said. Okay, everything happening to me just ISN'T logical in ANY way. Something has to be up....

"Hey, hey, one question at a time..." he said as if calming me down. I sighed in frustration.

"Okay.....lets start with how did this happen?" I said calmly

"Well I don't TECHNICALLY know how we got here. All I know is for some weird reason we're transported here through the lake"

"So....how do we get out of here?" I said.

"Uh......I don't know. But I'm working on it." he said

"Well alright. I'm Alice." I said since I realized I've never actually introduced myself yet.

"Austin. Austin Davids, pleasure to meet you" he said as he shook my hand.

"Well Austin, since when have you been stuck here?" I asked. He looked up at the clouds as if trying to remember something. 

"I remember it was about 5 years ago, I went swimming in the lake with my parents. Next thing I knew, here I am." he said. I kinda noticed his expression sadden. He looked back at me as if waiting for a response.

I don't really know what to say in times like these...gah! Why am I so awkward? 

"I'm sorry..." I managed to say.

"I'ts alright." He sighed deeply before he started to walk off somewhere. I just watched him as he did.

"Well..?" he asked as he looked at me from behind.

"Well what?" 

"Aren't you coming?" he asked.

"Coming? where?"

"Im gonna show you around...since you're probably gonna be stuck here for awhile" he said

"Oh, well alright." I said as i stood up and followed him
